General Emergency Goalkeeper

Sorry to ask in case it has been explained already but does anyone know the logic behind the rule that the Premier League introduced where players from their clubs are not allowed to go out on emergency loan?

Was wondering the same.

Heard a rumour that Stevens was training yesterday and may be able to play.

It was in the OM that he's back in light training.

Stevens last played against Shrewsbury Town on October 19 and was diagnosed with the illness before the trip to Burton Albion four days later.
He is making good progress, but Robinson insists there is no chance United will rush him back.

The U’s head coach said: “Jack’s healthy, he’s on the road to the recovery.
“He’s back on the bike, he’s started light training, now it’s just a case of seeing what he can and can’t do.
“We’ll never put a game of football in front of anybody’s health.
“I’ve said that to Jack, just slow down a bit and let it take its course."

Cutting it a bit fine now given we've had since Saturday! If I was Billy Turley I'd be waiting by the phone.

Is it Foderingham? Or who was the one who kept getting sent off 🤣
