Have to say I’m not looking forward to this one.
You might want to look up the largest attendance at the Kassam Stadium75,000 it used to hold.
Mind you the largest attendance there was for a Lou Reed gig!
I know we're struggling but it can't be 12 can it? Who are they all?A lot on Charltons forum pointing out injuries as an excuse.... we have 12 players injured.
I bet he has a deep regret of bowing out at Glastonbury, when he hit his peak at the Kassam StadiumYou might want to look up the largest attendance at the Kassam Stadium

Before the game I think we thought it was
Thorniley
Goodrham
Mills
Browne
Edwards
Bodin
Negru
Murphy
Long
Leigh
Henry
But Mills and Bodin made the bench, might not be an accurate list.

He is in the most part, mainly due to his success in a relative small space of time, with some fans blinded by the 2 decent cup runs we had with him in charge.Well, here I am revisiting from our last fixture against yous a few months back, and not much has changed.
You lot still move the ball well, seem to have an array of talent (despite the injuries) and us, well, we are dogsh*t.
If you took away Alfie May, Blackett-Taylor and George Dobson I would say we are league 2 standard. I truly feel bad for them having to play in a side so poor.
The twitter clip doing the rounds is from my vlog which can be found here:
I'm glad my misery can at least bring some joy and is why I do the vlogs I suppose. Good turnout by your lot for a New Year's game and I have to say, in the politest way possible, please just leave this league. I've never actually watched us beat you in something daft like 12 or 14 attempts now (lost count) and you've put me off the colour yellow entirely. I also for the life of me can't understand how Appleton is held in such high regard on here, one of THE worst coaches I've had the displeasure of watching at CAFC and I suspect you have tremendously outgrown him as a club. He is league 2 at best imho.
To the chaps I spoke to (if you post on here) thank you again for hopping on the vlog, really sensible, grounded bunch of fans that for some bizarre reason didn't think you'd win. You will probably be able to tell by my reactions how insane I thought it was.
All the best for the new year Yellows and if you do make the play offs, good luck
Did a decent job here but would have struggled not to with Roofe, Lundstram, Baldock, Hylton, Maguire, Dunkley, Sercs in League Two!He is in the most part, mainly due to his success in a relative small space of time, with some fans blinded by the 2 decent cup runs we had with him in charge.
But on the face of it he was just another run of the mill manager, his first full season coincided with a real togetherness off the pitch and a bright, up and coming director who signed us some insane talent and is now proving himself at Ipswich. We should have walked the league that season but still finished 2nd and needed the final day to clinch promotion, and his second full season after promotion we certainly looked on course for the play offs but frankly, bottled it…
I’ve never understood the glamour of him since he left and his dour stern faced approach leaves me bewildered at why he gets some decent jobs, he’s definitely not someone to inspire a group who’s on the floor IMO. It seems like you have a few off field issues and maybe your lack of success can be put down to that, but I do think a better manager has you higher in the league. That being said, it does seem that you have settled as a mid table L1 club, so maybe the problems are upstairs rather than at the managers door

That is my view of it mate, you had a fantastic squad for the level and to not have been promoted could have been seen as an underachievement. Either way he sent your club on to an upwards trajectory so I suppose that's where the endearment comes from.He is in the most part, mainly due to his success in a relative small space of time, with some fans blinded by the 2 decent cup runs we had with him in charge.

What Smyth gives us is a bit of body strength and height - was pleased to see his response to getting in starting 11. Cam was very good today too. What a debut from Smyth, apart from the sensational goal he made some excellent passes, held his own defensively against one of the better wingers in this league and has to start in the next match. Could move further forward? A special mention for Cam he was everywhere the heartbeat of this team and an absolute machine never seems to get tired!
Confused by this - he was only with us one season after the promotion, when we finished 8th, which was our highest position all season.and his second full season after promotion we certainly looked on course for the play offs but frankly, bottled it…
Hey Jemima,Oh what joy to wake up to that result, especially after the misery of Derby. Well done Des, Smyth and the lads!
Also, what fun to read the opposing team's forum after we've beaten them... "Oxford are just a town full of swotty students wearing scarfs and called Tarquin or Jemima. 2-0 Charlton. If we start a winning run, we might still scrape the play offs". Hard to argue with any of that.
Regards, Jemima.
