Imagine those tinpotters in the Championship. They would be punching above their weight in League Two. Many people in Wycombe with common sense support Oxford United - their local big team.
Was the guy very drunk? Me and a friend had to dodge a man pissed out of his head, going on about the 1980's, we thought he wouldn't make it in as he was so out of it. Last seen walking down the road shouting SMHS.
Does anyone even actually refer to us as the "U's" outside of journalists?
At the games, people shout yellows/ united anyway as it is. Never heard anyone shout come on you "u's"
I'd consider going to Walsall. Never been before. I don't want to trek all the way up to Darlo. Walsall away will do me. Reckon we'd take 1,000 odd up there.
The fact 40 miles separate Oxford supporting towns of Didcot and Banbury should be seen as a great opportunity for the club, Oxford United is the only professional team in Oxfordshire.
What are the most Oxford supporting towns outside of the City? I'd guess Abingdon, Didcot, Bicester and perhaps Banbury? These towns should definitely be targeted by the club.
I'm not from Oxford and have never lived there, so wouldn't know myself.
Quite nice reading through this thread, we really were blessed with a special team in the promotion season. Most of that team are now holding their own in Championship/ Top flight level.
Ridiculous team for league 2.
