Tickets Bolton Wanderers v OUFC Ticket Thread

I don't quite understand what you're asking, but there are definitely trains from Banbury direct to Wembley Stadium and back after the game. They might start and end at Birmingham, but that will only be confirmed tomorrow when Chiltern's event timetable is released.
Thanks the question was also about can we turn up and just park at Bicester?

Hello - newbie long-time lurker here. I have 1Xadult and 1XU16 ticket spare if anyone wants - message me for details if interested

When I last checked the trains from Banbury, you have to change at Wycombe, which is risky as I think the ones you switch to will already be full.

In theory yes. I think trains from both stations will be a scrum to get on though. Banbury will likely be easier to both park and get on a train.

Given you're coming from mid-Wales, maybe think outside the box and avoid the Chiltern line altogether? It doesn't take long to get to Wembley Central from Euston or Paddington and that will be the quietest station after the game (although not if I keep recommending it!) Where you could park really depends on exactly where in mid-Wales you're staying and how much you're prepared to spend on a train ticket.

Chiltern have confirmed direct services but they're not in the journey planners yet. I'm sure there will be direct trains back as well.

The following additional trains will also operate from Banbury and Bicester North:
  • Banbury 10.36 - Bicester North 10.50 to Wembley Stadium and Marylebone.
  • Banbury 11.12 - Bicester North 11.28 to Wembley Stadium and Marylebone.
  • Banbury 12.11 - Bicester North 12.28 to Wembley Stadium and Marylebone.

Holdsteady - You are most probably in the only U’s fan in Blackwater? I wonder what club those living in Blackwater/Camberley follow?
Reading I would think.

Especially clubs who average 9k at home.

30 k + to Wembley 4 times in 14 years is a decent effort that most clubs would love to have (Swindon 😂)
Exactly, think the kassam layout and the way it is harms us too as would sell out every week if it wasn’t a soulless pit.

This place!!

I'm currently working night shifts this week (called in 1000 favours to get Saturday night covered!!)

I stayed awake this morning to have a Teams call between the club, OUSP and OxVox and was hugely impressed with how the club and wider community had come together to try to ensure that everyone (on our database) who wants a ticket can get one. The ticket office staff and wider club staff have been working pretty much around the clock. They personally get to know many of those who have additional needs or would struggle to order online and contacted them directly to help them order. They have answered thousands of calls during their working day as well as going through thousands more emails when their working day should have finished.

And this isn't just the ticket office staff, although they have been incredible. But everyone is helping out where possible including the likes of Peter Rhodes-Brown (who phoned me at lunchtime today regarding a wider ticketing issue). Lee Barton and Adam Benson have also been involved, either directly or by trying to deal with a system put in place by Wembley that has caused them far more work than is necessary.

And let's be clear. We are guests at Wembley Stadium on Saturday and have to conform to their regulations. Unfortunately this has meant that all fans must have been on approved club databases prior to ordering, and that the blocks are only released bit by bit. The club showed the levels of support and anticipation sales figures to prove that there wouldn't be huge gaps if everything was opened at once, but this isn't the way Wembley works.

So finally, I went to bed really positive that we have an incredible club with incredible people working pretty much night and day to support our incredible fans being able to go to what we all hope will be an incredible day at Wembley.

I then wake up (grumpy and still tired) to post after post of "plastic day trippers" and "we'll never sell enough" etc.

Give your heads a shake!

Just think back to a few months ago where there were genuine fears that the stadium project mat not progress, the team was struggling to adapt to Buckingham, the atmosphere at games was shite, Chris Williams and others were leaving and most wanted Williams and Ferguson out of the club.

We're now on the very brink of the Championship with a team playing incredible attacking football with a real steely edge as well. We have a fantastically strong planning application in that has been supported with legally binding agreements with OCC for the lease, the atmosphere at recent games has been better than at any time since we moved from the Manor, our comms have been vastly improved, and everyone top to bottom at our club has really stepped up in everything that they do.

There has never been a better time to support Oxford United than now.

Driving from Hay on Wye to any requisite train station - trying to think outside the box a little so we can return easily as well!

Because it’s part of the Heathrow/west London overspill actually more Brentford/Fulham fans out here than Reading, even though they run a bus from Sandhurst which is only a walk from me. Few youngsters at the gym do support Reading but it’s mostly London clubs, enough to ask if they will be watching on Saturday though.

Ran into one other Oxford fan in the pub once before but he didn’t go to games anymore, so I pretty much am on my lonesome.

You don’t feel lonely when you are taking 30,000 to Wembley for a 5th time in a row, get in there.

Your best bet might be to go to Stanmore or some where like that and get the tube in, far enough out to not hit to much traffic but near enough that it won’t take you long to get back to the car.

There is parking at both Bicester train stations. The most direct route to Wembley is via Bicester Village Station. Going via Bicester Village the next stop will be Oxford Parkway. Going via Bicester North, you'll be looking at Banbury, then loads of stops all the way up to Birmingham.

Does this mean anything coming through Bicester Village is already likely to be full to bursting having come from Oxford Parkway? I’m travelling with my dad, who’s 70-odd and so won’t be able to stand for the duration. Was planning to go from Bicester village but not sure that’s a good idea now.

Possibly. It might be an idea to look at the train times for North which someone posted not long ago, that might be your best bet. We are chancing Bicester Village, but will be going early.

There are no direct trains from Banbury to Wembley this Saturday, they are all change at Wycombe unless this have changed in the last few hours.

Bear in mind that trains through Banbury and Bicester North will haveBolton fans, so will be busy as well! The timetable for the weekend shows that some trains stop at Wembley. My party are planning to have a couple of beers in Maylebone before travelling back to Wembley station.

I lived in Blackwater 60's to 80's, Aldershot were quite popular.
