Home Match Day Thread 01/11/2022 L1: OUFC v Fleetwood Town

Seddon would get a 1 from me. Cant believe he is a professional footballer tbh.

I’m gonna pick out 3 players instead of going after Karl tonight.

Brannagan. 3 chances to pass and he’s taking snap shots and ruining moves.

Moore. Constant shirt pulling. Lucky to see out the 90 minutes.

Eastwood. Another mistake. Horrendous kicking.
Findlay wasn’t much cop tonight

You actually think vastly smaller revenue streams would be less that paying off that £$%^? of course it would.
Lower season ticket sales, smaller crowds, smaller away crowds, smaller prize money, etc.

Yep. Such was generosity of Tiger's offer. Robinson is all powerful and pretty much unsackable regardless of team performance or his behaviour it seems.

He was awful tonight as expected but for once I’ll cut him some slack since it’s common knowledge the guy has only one useful foot and he’s made to play on the wrong side.

There can’t be any pride in selecting a very, very poor left back at right back.

For once Nathan asked a decent question and KR didn't like it.....that was totally the right team he should have picked, Anderson should have played right back, Browne is not a central striker and if KR had done his job properly in the summer then we'd have had suitable replacements for situation like this, but no he signs a bunch of injured players and then doesn't even fill the squad allocation.

'leave me to do my job' is laughable really....

To Karl Robinson - I doubt you'll read this but the fact is you get paid a lot of money to do this job (that so many people would give their right arm to do!) and you make unfathomable decisions like you did tonight, yet you wonder why people including local media are questioning you and your position?! You're doing a poor job at the moment and you should not further alienate the fanbase, you're on very thin ice as it is!

It's our club too, and we'll be here a long time after you've gone, but if things carry in like this we'll very possibly be in a lower division and a hell of a lot worse off.

Do the right thing now and resign, we've had enough of your bluster, incomprehensible tactics and squad building and you churning out the same predictable excuses and defensive comments. This whole situation is your fault, no one else's - your poor squad recruitment, your poor tactical nous and your failure to admit your shortcomings.

Robinson out.

Amen, brother.

Time to protest, BBC cameras will be at the Woking game, let's show our feelings so our owners on the other side of the world will see and hear them.

No one is indispensable. Whatever scotchy's army thinks, each game like tonight leads to crowds dropping further, and a step closer to the edge of the plank for kr. The situation has become untenable, when all factors are taken into account.
The most disappointing this is that the new owners announced themselves as new, dynamic and presented what they wanted for the club. So far they have been a huge let down for fans that want to see the club progress, allowing kr to drag us further down with him.
We need fresh ideas, not an over grown ego that thinks he is some kind of father figure for the club. New ideas, tactics, a managerial boost that gets time to survey the squad before the January window.
Moving forward, not 3 steps back and a further 2 steps back.

We limp on..

I’m totally confused with Djavan Anderson, just not sure where he fits into the team and don’t think he is going to make the positive impact we’d hoped for.
I think Anderson is probably a decent player, he’s quite quick and strong and has a nice touch. He’s not a winger though, looks more like an attacking full back. It’s impossible to come into a chaotic lineup like that and do well.

I don’t normally listen to Karl but caught him today. He sounded at the end of his tether, so defensive and making no sense. It was ‘too much’ for Browne?

BTW we should mention Fleetwood, they’re a nasty bunch but always looked dangerous on the attack and passed the ball much better than we did.

Just got home. I missed Burton and Cambridge, the two precious home victories.
I haven’t seen us win in the league since April and Swansea we beat on pens anyway.
Oxford being s**t is really disheartening, I’m more sad than angry.

Fair fucks to Nathan Cooper.

You can see now why he’s frightened to ask questions.

He won’t get interviews otherwise.
Didn’t hear couldn’t be arsed to listen to the bull s**t but why the fair fucks to Nathan Cooper

Delightful summary of the last 6 months:

A Left Back deemed not good enough for us last season was catipulted back into the starting XI at the start of this, binned out of the squad altogether again for being below par, and then found himself starting at Right Back after an injury to one (ONE) player.

Absolutely wild.

... while the injured player’s backup started on the wing?

It’s amazing how people twist a KR interview on here. I’ve just got in and listened to the interview and he didn’t just cut Nathan off short. He explained the reasons behind his team selection and I actually would of gone with the same side.
As was said pre match. GoD was showing signs of fatigue so couldn’t go from the start. Browne was clearly not fit as he only made it to half time.
Whether you like it or not, Robinson and the medical team know the fitness levels of the players a lot better than we do.

I also agree that in hindsight 4 points from tonight and Bolton is a good return but having won at Bolton we should of won tonight.

Another point on the board, chance to rest a few players on Sunday now and get minutes back into Bodin and Taylor and hopefully back to winning ways in the league next Wednesday at Shrewsbury.

When I saw the team I thought KR had deliberately set us up to loose. Jerome was non plussed as well. Heard a bit of KR garble in the car on the way home but switched to a music station I can't stand to listen to his bullshit anymore. So pleased I pulled out of buying my Woking ticket.

"Back to winning ways" you know we have won once in the last 5 games (that included Sutton) right?
