Home Match Day Thread 01/11/2022 L1: OUFC v Fleetwood Town

Unlucky first half but the second half was electric - that move where Seddon almost got played in was pure poetry in motion.

It's just a shame the ref was obviously a Fleetwood fan otherwise we would've won tonight.

The great recovery is on. Woking on Saturday is looking like an easy 3 points and standing room only on the positive bus.

🚌 Toot! All aboard!

What an absolute, utter load of spin that not even a clapper could agree with.
It was yet another abysmal performance at home, against a side who will be fighting relegation in April

Browns well good at left back our best player
Whenever we’re losing browns not a left back he’s a centre back 💀 so your gonna drop our best player make it make sense

For once Nathan asked a decent question and KR didn't like it.....that was totally the right team he should have picked, Anderson should have played right back, Browne is not a central striker and if KR had done his job properly in the summer then we'd have had suitable replacements for situation like this, but no he signs a bunch of injured players and then doesn't even fill the squad allocation.

'leave me to do my job' is laughable really....

To Karl Robinson - I doubt you'll read this but the fact is you get paid a lot of money to do this job (that so many people would give their right arm to do!) and you make unfathomable decisions like you did tonight, yet you wonder why people including local media are questioning you and your position?! You're doing a poor job at the moment and you should not further alienate the fanbase, you're on very thin ice as it is!

It's our club too, and we'll be here a long time after you've gone, but if things carry in like this we'll very possibly be in a lower division and a hell of a lot worse off.

Do the right thing now and resign, we've had enough of your bluster, incomprehensible tactics and squad building and you churning out the same predictable excuses and defensive comments. This whole situation is your fault, no one else's - your poor squad recruitment, your poor tactical nous and your failure to admit your shortcomings.

Robinson out.

I think mr yaw has gone fishing...

That team selection was appalling. Browne is not a centre forward, Seddon is most certainly not a right back. Balance was completely disjointed and easy to defend against. Mendes-Gomez far too quick and clever for a one paced back line with a non-existent full back.

O’Donkor gave us a focal point, some energy and positivity. The effort of players like Joseph and McGuane shouldn’t be taken for granted either.

There isn’t a major quality issue here to address, it’s massive gaps in the squad and silly team selections costing us.

The woking match is Sunday and if we do win I can't see us being given 3pts for a cup win.

He’s been excellent. But he’s not a left back. We’ve forgotten what a good traditional full back looks like rather than one that’s been converted to do a job.

Awful watch that was, knew it would be a tough watch from his team selection. Most of it down to poor recruitment in the summer.

A left winger at striker, a striker at left wing, a right back at right wing, a centre back at left back and the left back at right back. Don't dare question the team selection though, right Karl?

Positives, I think Joseph has been brilliant for us, tenacity, work rate and a decent finisher, shame he isn't ours!

Odonkor, getting better each time he plays, some lovely link up play when he came on, clever goal and some pace we so badly lack. We're a better side with him leading the line.

He then tells Nathan to let him pick the team. Players out of position again, did they know what format they were playing?
How the hell can the board let this continue, sitting around the relegation zone with such a budget that was available.

"Quote "They showed fight grit and determination played out of their skins, and a good point in the right direction."
"I don't understand the question and let me do my job"
"It wasn't the RIGHT team, it was the wrong mentality."

Absolute cloud cuckoo land. He has to go and go know!

KR OUT!
