Everything good from Morecambe came through him, can tell he’s got an extra bit of class about him, not the quickest but a very smart player.
I thought he did ok. To be fair, I doubt there’s many games Morecambe dominate and I’d imagine he feeds on scraps. He’s a unit though and is a bit niggly but isn’t that what we are missing ? A hard b****** who just roughs it up a bit. Had a running battle with McGuane for 5 minutes and I wouldn’t mind seeing him here.
You’ve both criticised Brown’s performance and praised Stockton and yet I’d argue that Brown edged their battle and kept Stockton pretty quiet…

As a club the owners have got to get grip of this situation. Look at the league already and table is how it will look at the end of the season all the top teams have started well. We finished the season with relegation form and we have started the same . We have a very important 11 days coming up how many signings do we need .A right back a left back someone to replace Gorrin so MM can play closer to Bran and 2 wingers 5 at least . What a transfer window . Or it's a definate bottom half finish for us.

It’s his get out of jail card! Said the same thing last season.

It’s obviously true at all levels that other clubs/businesses will pay/bid higher, but we hear things from Karl that he’s backed by the board and there’s plenty of money about etc, but then hear comments like this which don’t really need to be said or add up.

It’s also interesting that we want to be a top 30 club, so I guess to do that you’ve got to be paying/bidding fairly high, so when you hear these rumours about us being in for certain players (I won’t say wow players) that ultimately don’t materialise for one reason or another when you’ve made these aspirations public, then I think it’s only natural that people will challenge/ask questions/have dealt etc

I’m also not naive enough to know we’re not going to win every race we go in for, but it certainly feels like we lose more than we win.
Another one!

Let’s be honest with ourselves, it has been a disappointing transfer window so far.

I also think it would be good if we got the majority of our business done earlier e.g. permanent buys done prior to the season kicking off (ideally 2-3 weeks before the season starts), and then just had a few (1-3) done throughout August as loanees plus may be 1-2 final permanent purchases.

This way it would give the team/squad more time to gel and hopefully a better chance to have a better start to the season. This last minute stuff (mid/end of July/end of window) just doesn’t feel that we give ourselves the best chance. And it always seems that Karl gets fixated on a certain player (Browne last window) which means we potentially miss out on other players/end up with what’s left (desperate). Add to this we constantly here about strengthening/improving and wanting to be a top 30 club when our approach can feel completely opposite e.g. selling our better players/bringing players who have had long term injuries and they spend the rest of the season bemoaning our bad luck with injuries.

I will wait and see what happens, but it does frustrate me when the club says one thing (expectancy), but it feels the opposite.
And another one!

Karl is the club isn’t he?

Well Karl doesn't pay the wages and he isn't the one rubbing his hands at the prospect of making millions from a new stadium complex. The owners have just as much blame for letting Karl do everything. Time for them to show themselves and sort this out before it's too late!

From what I heard yesterday the directors, share holders etc. are somewhat taken aback at the inability to sign players. The money is there but, players are not signing. Make of that what you will but, it seems to indicate that something is not right.
If it comes out that we have indeed signed Gavin Whyte then that will go some way to giving credence to the gossip around the SSU/Directors box.
(not claiming any kind of ITK status, just gossip!)

I was being sarcastic!
