All transfer window, fans (including myself) have been crying out for the board to show some ambition and act like a top 30 club like they aspire to be. If we aren't going to try and keep our best player from leaving by matching a club that isn't even top 30 is there any point in having wealthy owners behind the scenes?

With all due respect. Will Grigg is s**t, and as much as I love SD, I'm not sure he's the best chairman of a football club. And even more so than that, CB is a class and proven player at this level, and we'd be hugely hard pushed to replace him this late on. If we've gone a bit higher than we wanted to, I am ok with that.

To think Hanson cost us £100,000 of thousands of pounds in wages and fees...

Call me sentimental but if we had held onto Leon Chambers-Parillon we would have had a really useful bench player (RB / LB / CM) to at least see us through the opening weeks of this season.
