Heres my opinion, FWIW...

Losing Brannagans was always going to happen at some point.
To Blackpool and 2 days before the season starts is a sickened and also abysmal timing, but I'd still rather cash in on the £2m now, rather than lose him on a free at the end of next season.
He will still be getting championship offers then.
Remember, no player is bigger than the club and every player is replaceable.

So, what happens next?
KR has some work to do in CM.
And if he has any sense about him, he would have preempted this and has some idea of who would replace Branners should he leave.

If he DOESN'T fix this..
It's a major f**k up.

But I still believe we are being backed by the board and KR isn't an idiot.

And with that in mind, I wait with hopeful anticipation that KR will come through and fix this. But these 48 hours are crucial!

As for Brannagan - nothing but love for the guy. Would never begrudge a player of a move to a higher tier.
I think Smyth can fill in here, was really impressed with him against WBA

Look at it from Cam's point of view - we've had three chances at promotion and fallen short. And, despite the impressive signing of Josh Murphy in recent days, I doubt this window has instilled any confidence in him that we're any better equipped for promotion than we were on those previous three occasions.

Good players leaving. Same issues left unaddressed (no FBs signed, no CDM). Yes, we're bringing in exciting attacking players - but we've always proven ourselves capable of doing that.

He wants to play at a higher level and I'm sure he developed concerns at the chances of doing that here - so he's moving to a good Championship club with a manager that we all know will get the best of him on probably 3 or 4x the money he's on now.

You remind me of Cyril Blake.

I'm absolutely pissed off with that news brannagan I don't begrudge cam the move the think he deserved to go last summer and he hasn't caused any issues he's always gave his all but f**k me moving to Blackpool I could accept Blackburn, Preston or one of the top teams in that area but not bloody Blackpool there a nothing team who will be scrapping relegation this season

I've also been impressed with him too... Very much so!!
Is he first team, league 1 ready though?
He hasn't played a single minute of league football at this level 😬
Maybe he does... But it isn't really the time to be experimenting 🤣

I do however have full confidence in him being the next big talent at Oxford.

Brutal. Pre-season optimism evaporates in a flash.

Don't begrudge Cam the opportunity of course.

As if Cam has any say in the matter. Blackpool prepared to pay 7 figure fee to prevent him chatting to other clubs in January and then prepared to offer him enough money to trump any future offers he might get in January.

Obviously disappointed to see him go but I think it’s a great bit of business for the club.

Fook me. If Robinsons balls weren’t already being firmly squeezed, they’re currently in a vice.

This is a season defining moment, and KR simply HAS to get this right.

No crocks. No has-beens. No risks. You sign a player that is proven quality and you spend every single penny of that transfer fee on the squad!

Ahh finally your using the term Crocks, when before it was forbidden.

You still enjoying this window?

I'm not sure how much difference that would make. There's never a guarantee of promotion no matter who you sign and he had his release clause activated. I don't think there's much we could have done being in the position we were.

We need the boys who are fit to stand up and do a heck of a job on Saturday. Big trouble in midfield, on the wings and upfront, plus full backs. If we can get anything out of the game it will be an incredible result.

Our transfer window needs more than a bit more work now. Absolutely gutted he’s going! Assume we went to the max and beyond with a new contract offer?

The next move the club make in the transfer window needs to be important if your losing brannagan who is our best midfielder you need to replace him with a player who is capable I'd say use the money go get camara go get Stockton and things will look better if we don't replace him then I don't have much hope for this season
