Whatever you want to happen for OUFC you have to agree the stadium and history of Sheffield Wednesday dwarfs anything we can offer. Players will be swayed by that but many will see through the sheen and realise we are going the right way. Patience. We always find gems. Agreed in the sense that somebody keeps making it public. The same goes with Burnley as Blackpool, Oxford should just say this is our price, if you can't meet it then don't bother us.

Personally, my spidey senses tell me that the previous hundred plus explanations on this forum over the near previous ten years indicate that this is a fake account.

The other giveaway is that Marcus Browne was signed for more than £300k only a few months back.

There is also a slight suspicion that the thousands of consistently ludicrous and unrealistic transfer ‘stories’ which by design are both outrageous and totally ridiculous which have been peddled for sometime, presumably from a child’s bedroom.

Other than that, it strikes me as a seriously reliable source and I encourage everyone to accept everything as entirely reliable.

Yeah we had an interest in January. He was outstanding at Lincoln. Think he may end up at Blackpool with MApp.

Callum Doyle is a player we have interest in who will be playing in that game. Left sided centre back.

I agree we do a lot of ‘saying’ but also it is impossible for us to compete with Sheffield Wednesday & Ipswich. (Derby too if they get taken over).

Outside of those 2/3, League 1 is wide open & we have no excuses not to compete.

How many teams have you seen not sign anybody after pre season starts? 9/10 teams will sign someone after the full season starts. It’s not all about us.

And who’s to say we haven’t got new players out in Spain?

But that’s half the problem. You bring them 2/3/4 games into the season they don’t have time to gel and we have been late in getting deals done for the last few seasons, although some will say the signing of Bodin and Baldock and even Browne are like new signings. But we still need 5/6 signings minimum just hope the crème haven’t been snapped up while we are still trying to get deals done.

Ideally but there's always signings towards the end of August.

I think we are in for 2 Young premier league players not sure what positions but think one is the lad from arsenal no idea who the other is but must be a winger, have a feeling we are after a centre back who has links with the club

I don’t disagree, but this is the norm the lower down the pyramid you go so I can’t understand the level of surprise every summer when all our business is not done within a few weeks of the previous season ending.

The sooner the McNally deal gets closed and he gets his move to Burnley, the better.

Irish Sun & Alan Nixon both said we’ve rejected £1.5 million so hopefully it’ll be very close to the £2 million pound mark with or without add ons.

If he is going, what would be good is Burnley sign him for £2 million with 15% sell on, he plays fantastically well for them, with Spurs keeping checks on him and sign him for £10mill!
