50% capacity

All events recommencing at Step 3 will be subject to the following capacity caps:
  1. 1,000 people or 50% of a venue’s capacity, whichever is lower at indoor events
  2. 4,000 people or 50% of a site or venue’s capacity, whichever is lower at outdoor events
The government has also made a special provision for large, outdoor seated venues where crowds can be safely distributed around the venue, allowing up to 10,000 people or 25% of total seated capacity, whichever is lower. This provision can be used by venues with a seated capacity of 16,000 or above. For events with mixed seating and standing areas including music, elite sporting events and non-elite/professional spectator events, the capacity cap will be calculated as 25% of seated capacity, irrespective of any standing capacity. All spectators admitted under this provision must be seated and should not access the venue’s standing capacity to view the event. Where the crowds cannot be seated at a large outdoor venue for the duration of the event or the seated capacity does not exceed 16,000 the cap of 50% of the site’s capacity up to a maximum of 4,000 people will apply.

The CEO of Britain's largest pub chain Greene King said that they would having an 80% socially diatanced capacity INSIDE their pubs from Monday. Double standards?

I keep reading that in August we are only going to have 50% capacity can someone please explain why? When England play at Wembley in the euros they’re hoping to have 90,000 I think I read that somewhere also with everything apparently getting back to normal from the 21st June why can’t we have a full stadium
Hopefully someone more switched on than me can answer 😁
They’re won’t be 90,000 fans at Wembley. I know this as I’ve lost my tickets when they did another ballot based on reduced capacity

I assuming that means full capacity from the start of the season?
No away fan ban etc?
Think we might sell out our allocation for Cambridge away, whatever that is.

I would take a wild guess all clubs will want to get as many in as possible. £££££`s.

If you=÷
Does this mean that we can go to away games?

Yes and I think it's the right decision. If not now then when? All vulnerable people have been vaccinated and death rate seems to be decreasing accordingly. If we continue this obsession with positive cases (when we're doing more testing than ever), rather than ICU cases and deaths then when do we ever fully open up? The virus is here to stay and we need to learm to live with it.

People can make their own personal decisions if they don't want to attend but I don't think you should at this stage continue to impose restrictions.

Actually football matches in the open air are probably fine, but I think removing all restrictions at once sends a really bad message that it’s all over. It’s become clear in the last few years just how thick a lot of people are, so appealing to personal responsibility is meaningless. The people I feel really sorry for are staff, in shops and pubs and on public transport, trapped with loads of germy morons all day.

Get the impression you’re ^^ not a happy little chappy tonight ??

You could always just stay inside and hide behind your sofa…

Masks are worn to protect others. I’m thinking of the health of you and your old mum, and of all vulnerable people, who shouldn’t have to hide away because society won’t take measures to protect them.

Out of choice I may mask up at times ( like where Im not comfortable for example- and having got used to mouthing Fuckoff from behind a mask at various numpties, there will be more than a few times I'll continue to do that too I reckon, so best be safe I reckon !) post July 19 - and I'll carry hand san' with me for some time yet .... which is, of course my personal choice

If not now then when?
Why do people keep asking this stupid question when the answer is obviously when everyone (who wants to be) is double vaccinated.

Wonderful news. Deaths and hospitalisations are so low now despite high case numbers. Get us back in, if you don't like it stay at home.

Nothing stopping you from wearing a mask…

When should measures be relaxed?

All the vulnerable people would have been double jabbed but now or even the 19th. If not now, when?
