International News Donald Trump 🍊🇺🇸

Yeah...problem is that Muricans do love a good tw@t

As do we..... #cough. cough..... BORIS.... cough, cough#
But Trump Jr is trying to defend the copper by revealing the victims criminal history. So he has done wrong in the past but did the victim deserve to be shot in the back ( the cowards way) 7 times? We’re there not enough policeman to take him to the ground and arrest, his children in the car witnessing their father being shot, at their young age the trauma they’ve witnessed could live with them for a long time.
Boris s Boris he has made gaffs but is he racist? No just says things at the wrong time and with lout thinking, I'm not saying Trump JR is a racist but his comments are outrageous considering the timing.

Boris has used plenty of racist language (ie. piccaninnies when referring to Africans and their "watermelon smiles") and when it is written in a newspaper column it is considered/deliberately done (ie. not without thinking or wrong time/moment) so I'd say that is racism.

Also, don't US Police forces generally have tasers as standard kit so I don't understand if they did why they didn't use them?

your first paragraph was when he was a journalist and no I’m not sticking up for him. I doubt very much whether he would repeat these comments, he should apologise to those affected.

Yes the he police over in the racist country do have Tasers and yes unless the person officers life is threatened then yes they should use Tasers. But what Trump JR said is bisecting on racism.

Do views suddenly change when you change profession?! Quick make Yaxley-Lennon a politician then he won't be racist anymore.

He could have made the same point without racist language in his article but he very deliberately chose to use that language. This isn't the only time.

Obviously you don’t like Boris but hey each to their own, but all politicians have racism or prejudice in them

ALL politicians have racism or prejudice in them, that is your defence?! Just Wow.
Oh come on Boris made some gaffs and you’re jumping on it with somethings that he wrote some time ago. A bit like your mate Corbyn refusing to apologise for the anti Semitism until Poers Morgan got one from him and also him saying it was wrong for the Labour Party to pay compensation to some Labour Party members sacked for complaint about the Antisemitism. It’s all over the place. Tonight on BBC 1 news an Asian woman saying she went to the Royal Albert Hall in the 70’s as a child and thought it was wrong for Land of Hope and Glory being played and sung and it’s taken this long for something to be done about it, what a load of crock.

My mate Corbyn? I suggest you do a bit more reading on what I've said about Corbyn and about the anti-semitism in Labour. Oh and Corbyn/Johnson aren't ALL politicians by the way, there are many others.

Now the squirrels are put aside. Using such language such as Piccaninnies, Watermelon smiles etc aren't "gaffs", they are a deliberate use of racist language that were decided on by Johnson in advance. These were not made in the heat of the moment however you try to justify the use of racist language.

That was back then, if the parliamentary watchdog felt he was racist he wouldn’t be in no 10

So what if it was back then? It was deliberate and calculated use of racist language, hardly the actions of somebody who doesn't harbour racist ideas. It is hardly a one off either.

'Piccaninnies' or 'watermelon smiles' are hardly words that are common place. Can you give me a reasonable context where they could possibly be used that isn't racist?

You think a Parliamentary Watchdog would have been able to stop Johnson being PM? Really?

He worked for a very satirical publication called Private eye which says a lot of things, I’m not trying to defend what he had written in the past by no means whatsoever. I’m not calling it mistakes but it was the past I doubt very much now that he would say such things but obviously you’re not a fan of Boris or even the Tories but rather him as PM than JC or even by some miracle the Lib/dems. But regarding the financial aspect during the pandemic I think the Tories have done a good job. No doubt you will come back at me over the total deaths the PPE or even Cummings, but if you can put that to one side you cannot fault the Chancellor and what he has done in financial help for people and buisness

The comments were made in the Daily Telegraph and the comment was not satirical in anyway. How in anyway is using very old racist terms in the way he did satirical?

And the use of the term "letterbox" for some Muslim women was only a couple of years ago. Is the way to explain away nasty derogatory comments to call it "satire"?

You can disagree with the burka etc but you don't need to make bigoted comments to make your point. Johnson chooses the bigoted comment approach fairly regularly it seems though.

no he didn’t! He was editor of the spectator. Nothing to do with Private Eye. In fact it is the Eee that has repeatedly called him out on his cheap racist language!

In no way am I a bigot I am just replying to your anti Boris comments. We’re those comments made by Boris to the Telegraph or were they comments the Telegraph picked up from comments written in the Spectator publication.
The problem with your good self control s fhatvyou obviously hate Boris which is your divine right I’ve always voted Tory and that won’t change but I will also criticise the leadership the party and the government if I feel they deserve it.
But please contact call me a bigot again @Marked Ox

I never said you were a bigot Bazzer.

Yes my comments are anti Johnson because he used racist language deliberately and unnecessarily to make his point. The comments were made in his own column in the Telegraph, something that he wrote himself, NOT a journalist misquoting him etc just as he wasn't misquoted or used out of context when he used "letterbox". Johnson CHOSE to use racist language in his own article.

You are defending the indefensible here. It wasn't a gaff, it was deliberately done by Johnson himself.

Blimey Bazzer, that is in places completely factually wrong (do you really think Private and and The Spectator are in any way similar, to get them confused?) and you think we should 'put to one side' the amount of deaths so that we can praise the Government?
The mind boggles.

Now, admittedly I can't claim a complete lack of bias here, but on the Boris balance sheet I'm seeing an increasing number of red numbers in the negative column and very few (any?) black numbers in the positive column.

I have a very intelligent, right-leaning friend who recently proclaimed Boris was good for the country because he 'got things done.' He didn't appreciate the irony that Boris / the Tories might make correct decisions eventually, but rarely get things done first time around.

At the other end of the intellectual scale, I had to endure a bloke telling me Boris was the best leader since Churchill. He offered no explanation - or even a reference to Thatcher - and he didn't seem to think providing evidence to support his claim was necessary. I'm guessing he'd support the use of the remaining Spitfires to strafe cross-channel immigrants, and travellers of any description.
