International News Black Lives Matter

I see a lot of villages lost their idiots for the day yesterday and they allowed themselves to be portrayed as that. It was sadly predictable after 2 weeks of the Met Police largely doing nothing, that when the idiots of the Furthest Right turn up, the higher ups and the Mayor find their spines and get organised. The protests were "largely peaceful" as they were over the last 2 weeks, but in the round, a waste of police time and money that should be on the knife and gang crime issues instead. Sadly though, some felt they had to make a point and they lacked the perspective of what that entails by doing it in that manner.

At least the protestors cleaned up after themselves. At least Greta will be happy eh?

1. This was a strategic decision in order not to escalate the situation and taken at a high level

2. Let's join the dots for the hard of thinking. Iconic symbols have been used to represent many things since time began. Whilst the statue/s concerned have nothing to do with police brutality, they are perceived by some as representatives of historical racism and oppression. Meanwhile, back in the present, racism is active as ever.

Hope that helps.
Well aware of both by the way but 1 unfortunately lead to yesterday’s happenings. and 2 are we talking all statues memorials and buildings built by slave labour and also of law breakers eg acts of terrorism? Just asking.

Not everyone are big earner’s in the smoke, and as I said to @QR wonder how long it will be before he extends the congestion perimeter, and maybe even 24/7

the Congestion charge zone was, in effect extended a while back @bazzer9461 ... its called LEZ ... low emissions zone.... its been a while since I ve ventured into that there London, I believe the LEZ covers most of Greater London now, ( almost certain it goes at least as far as the North/ South Circular, if not further? currently) , and is in operation 24/7.... LEZ fees are in addition to Congestion charges in the congestion charge zone in central London

vehicles more than 40 years old are exempt from LEZ charges, also 'registered disabled' vehicles are exempt from LEZ charges
I believe there are other exemptions currently to LEZ fees too?

TfL Transport for London, wonder if other towns and cities are moaning, maybe the government should contribute some monies for TFL but khan when he has recouped the money through the congestion charge I bet his extortionate rates won’t go down and wonder how long before he extends the congestion charge perimeter.
Maybe TfL should cut their drivers' wages. Would that would please you?

The race and sex of the far right protesters seems very important to the media on this occasion whereas for BLM there was - rightly - no real mention of the ethnic makeup of the group. Media trying to sow further divisions between white males and everyone else? Perhaps gearing up for the feminist uprising which presumably will be next in this merry-go-round of victim pageantry.

See there’s been an arrest and rightly so.

I wouldn’t be surprised if the urinating oaf was pissed out of his head and had no idea where he was and this was not a deliberate act. I bet that’s what gets argued in court. (In fact I bet he can barely read. )

There are of course no public conveniences open in London at the moment.

Were you and Basham there, then? if you weren;t how do you feel so confident in asserting ( unlike the many journalists describing the threats and violence they received and the ample visual evidence of the assaults on the police, Nazi insignia and threats to peaceful picnicers) that it was "largely peaceful" I wonder?

And you seem utterly obsessed with a 16 year girl. I recommend counselling

Think you need help, too, mate. If you don't like women maybe it's time to be open about your sexuality. We're all understanding here and Basham was a handsome chap

If you’re a right wing thug, or a left wing thug, you’re still a thug.

If you’re a right wing Covidiot, or a left wing Covidiot, you’re still a Covidiot.

If you’re a right wing useful idiot or a left wing useful idiot, you’re still a useful idiot.

Wow hadn’t thought it had got that far, expected it but not yet. I think Wembley escapes the charge at the moment but wouldn’t put it past them to extend past Wembley

You got a problem or something? Well wonder what you will be going on about when we have another austerity to repay what the government quite rightly spent to aid business and employees.

Maybe as far north as Hendon and as far south as Croydon

'when we have another austerity' que?

This started because of your lame attempt to pin the need to reintroduce congestion charges on Khan when he has no choice because the government insist TfL operate as close to normal as possible but won't help make up the enormous income losses. You lost that one and now you're going on about... well what exactly?

Are you saying drivers should be having their wages cut because it's coming down the line anyway?

So he increased the charges he increased the time that its operational and now includes weekends, and yes we will be in austerity again when this over ffs it’s the only way we will be able to get out of the recession

Well the BLM marchers were a real mixture. Black, white, male and female - tending towards the younger end of society rather than the older but otherwise very mixed.

The racists on the other hand were noticeably NOT such a mixture. I am not sure that the fact the media commented on it is particularly significant - any one with eyes to see would have noticed and mentioned it.

I am a white male - I don't feel threatened by the first group at all. The second group on the other hand are vile, and part of me cringed when they were described as 'football supporters'.

The irony is that the majority of the 'lads' mindlessly causing havoc yesterday have more in common with the BLM movement than they care to realize.

The working classes, like those from other poorer sections of society, have been shafted by successive governments as state education fails a multitude of youngsters, leaving them ill equipped to navigate the modern working world.

Those in work will have seen increased competition from foreign workers settling in the UK which has eroded pay rates whilst Maggie destroyed the union movements long ago.

Now, a raft of laws and legislation protecting employees rights devised at EU level will soon be thrown on a bonfire. Just in time, as AI starts to really catch on...

Sadly, a lack of intelligence and empathy coupled with a fondness of lager means such 'lads' will seek to lash out & destroy rather than look to build relationships to better their cause.

Snails. Salt shakers. Voting.

Those relating to Parental, Discrimination, Holidays & Holiday Pay, Working time, those giving same rights to part-time/fixed-term contractors as full-time...

Time to take back control and unleash Britain's potential by scrapping as much of this red tape as possible. Right?

No idea... I hadn’t realised they were being scrapped.
