International News Covid-19 .....

I think the information would be useful after the crisis has been averted, used as a post-mortem, but at the moment I don't think it will be helpful, and could even be counter productive. There is already a problem with people thinking restrictions don't apply to them, breaking restrictions, and possibly making things worse. Giving them the ammunition of saying 'I'm this age, don't smoke, no problems, I'm alright, Jack' could lead to chaos.

It could be counter-productive, but it could also be a useful jab at those morons who think it's ok to see their parents and take the kids shopping at Aldi. And equally, it can also be used to further highlight why physical distancing or hand washing (as 2 examples off of the top of my head) could improve the mortality rate for those who are old and vulnerable.

anyone thinking of breaking restrictions should take a butchers at the harrowing scenes in the Bergamo hospitals. All patients gasping for breath with little hope of recovery. A salutary lesson for us all. There was one glimmer of hope when a patient came off the ventilator for the first time after a week long battle. All the medics burst into a spontaneous applause. All very moving.

Did this particular Coventry individual think he had a window of opportunity? ....

For being a complete cock, yes.

Closely followed by Stephen Kinnock dropping some shopping off at his parents in another country. After saying the opposite on Twitter a few days before.

Heady times we live in!

I'll be honest. I've got lots of underlying problems which could easily do me in, if I get this virus. I'm doing the responsible thing and staying in. I don't want to get this thing and pass it on to vulnerable people and I definitely don't want it myself. It's a pain in the a**e, but so what? I think some, not many, but some people have wrongly got an attitude of 'if I get it, I'll get over it.' A young woman of 21 died in Wycombe last week. It's crazy. f*****g crazy.
I pray that none of you lot on here get it.

a gathering of 25 for a knees up you really do wonder about certain members of society..fining those types achieves nothing as they think they'll all do as they want anyway.

6 youngsters around the age of 15 arrested down here for spitting at passers by and police. Spitting at people is bad enough at the best of times let alone the times we find ourselves in at the moment. I just don't get some people. What on earth drives them to do such things.?

And to think that a few weeks ago people were moaning about football being called off, or about not being allowed in to see it if the MK game went behind closed doors, and saying they’d just stand outside or go to the pub instead.

It's quite funny seeing people on social media chastising others. It's normally something like
"As I was going for my daily walk in the fields / on the downs etc, I saw lots of other people also out walking / more people than normal. Don't they know they are supposed to stay at home?" This mainly seems to be people lucky enough to be walking distance of somewhere with a big open space, and don't understand why other people might like that too rather than just going around the block.

I know what you mean.
On a similar note, I find people moaning about people breaking the 2metre distancing rule next to them quite amusing and rather ironic ..it certainly takes two to tango in this case.

W.H.O. ' under fire' ? ....

If you look at what they said and did, if you believe in conspiracies or coincidences, then you'd look at the WHO communication early and think they are either totally incompetent and not fit for purprose or a Chinese shill pandering to their masters - I offer no comment either way.

It is fair to say that there are a lot of questions to asked of WHO and if they are relevant after this pandemic. After all their early misdiagnosis could well have helped to tank economies and importantly, people's lives.

As an aside, when this is all done, the west need to take a long hard look at China, their hygiene standards and if this is worth the cheap products, etc? If China won't change, we have to minimise the business we do with them
