I agree that the club did have a view on the licence when they had cash flow problems, I haven't heard recently if that still was the case, as for the club announcement that they are looking at sites I'm not so sure. With regard to the announcement, this is based on the fact that the Directors/ NMcM has made clear that the current arrangement doesnt work and the club have clearly been looking at hee sites for a new stadium (I am assuming that you dont disagree with any of that).
You are right that the Kassam has never been fully rejected.
If the announcement is just for a 4th stand, this will be a huge disappointment I would think.
With regard to Zaki's comment, which rumours do you think have contributed to his comments?
The only new rumour I have read is the one regarding oufc having the stadium rent free.
Kassam may be irritated by this if it is a possibility and may have fed this back to Zaki. Or do you have a different view?
Told you, FK retains the land we buy & improve the ground rent free and get all the income.
My thoughts remain the same, but there are only so many times you can share a view with others demanding proof, which would never happen under commercial sensitivities. I'll respect the view of the club not to fuel ongoing rumours and won't comment further, but my views remain on record and nothing has happened to change them.
The reference to FK is that the only NEW rumour I have read in the past 2 months on here is relating to a total change in the potential agreement with FK on the current ground.I agree that the club did have a view on the licence when they had cash flow problems, I haven't heard recently if that still was the case, as for the club announcement that they are looking at sites I'm not so sure.
Zaki only has to read this site to see certain peoples opinions on how they think "the stadium progress" is coming along, there are threads on many different things connected to a new stadium, as a contributor to these threads you should know.
That's the second reference to FK, I can't see why he would worry.
I've been told by a reliable source that the club have squashed the plan of building a new stadium and both the club and fk are agreeing a new lease that benefits us more as a club, the way I understand is the lease will be similar to the training ground where we don't own it on paper, but will have all the costs to run which we can offset with ticket sales, catering, conference centre. You may ask why would fk agree to this? Fk does not make any money by us playing at the stadium and he is going to have to spend some money on the stadium in the next few years.
am i missing something here, FK keeps the land but we buy the ground but what happens when/should he decide to sell the land? surely if we bought the ground that's all ties with the Landlord needing to be over for good. that sounds like a future "get off my land" scenario
if FK wanted to umm release the ground why not the whole shooting match
Ah, you have me at a disadvantage, I rarely do twitter and I’m selective if I do, and Facebook is a definite no no for me, crikey I must be missing loads of rumours floating about out there, oh well I thought this was the place for “facts”, it was when we have posters who tell us that. The reference to FK is that the only NEW rumour I have read in the past 2 months on here is relating to a total change in the potential agreement with FK on the current ground.
With regard to the rumours on anew site, these rumours have been here for ages and have been discussed in detail ( sure a lot like my comments are reading through the lines as I am not remotely ITK)
So Zaki's comments in my view either relate to rumours on Facebook/ Twitter which have yet to reach this site or are relation to FK and the current stadium.
I have read nothing else new which Zaki would be responding to?
The latest accounts show he (Firoka) made an operating profit on the stadium of £529K. If you look back over previous years, £0.5 m is about the average.Fk does not make any money by us playing at the stadium
Because good old Uncle K is the 'guardian of the club' and the milk of human kindness flows through his veins. Why would FK forego that sort of income without something in return?
I suppose one upcoming issue will be natural deterioration of the stadium and the cost to make it right. Does the Stadco have the cash flow to pay for it? By letting the stadium go as such, they are removed from the risk and cost of paying for it.The latest accounts show he (Firoka) made an operating profit on the stadium of £529K. If you look back over previous years, £0.5 m is about the average.
Over a 25 year lease that would be about £13mil. Why would FK forego that sort of income without something in return?

I wasn't the only one to think, what speculation? Am I missing something?Quite amusing a tweet basically saying 'ignore the speculation' has actually caused more speculation on here than was happening before!
Was just thinking the same thing. Why would Zaki even bother? And on a social media platform? Makes no sense at all to me.Quite amusing a tweet basically saying 'ignore the speculation' has actually caused more speculation on here than was happening before!

Maybe someone does know something and Zaki and the board are worried that it might get out, so they are getting in there 1st
