Badge while it's on a shirt. I felt he was referring to it being on display in various things such as flags, posters, etc. In which case, I think crest is more suitable than badge.

I'll say you definitely "play for the badge" not the "crest", but when not on the shirt, I generally refer to it as the crest.

Reads a bit like a company prospectus, but there's good material in there. From a pedant's pov it seems a pity to talk of "changes in Des’s backroom staff since my last update" and to only mention one, specially when Ed Waldron's promotion to Director of Football is mentioned in the next sentence.

Still, apparent progress, let's see if young Tim can keep it up.

Is Waldron now officially DoF?

A massive thank you to the Board of directors who own the club what an amazing day ,the fans for up for the game and the players were simply awesome what a performance, well done Des you had a rough ride but you have done a remarkable job. But a huge thank you to Bakrie and his fellow directors. It will live in the memory for a long time.

You don't hear about 'the Chuckle Brothers' so much now, a few weeks ago loads of people were going on and on about them. Have they improved?

It's a fact of football life that if you win football matches it glosses over some of the off the field stuff in the eyes of a percentage of fans.

I think Des, and the team, have got them out of a hole. Let's see how the summer, and next season play out, off the field, before anointing them.

One swallow and all that.......

Yes I was partly being cheeky but partly making a genuine inquiry
