I’m a real supporter, albeit a relatively recent on. I went a few games in the JPT trophy season, including the final, with my daughter who was showing an interest, and then after she lost that interest there was a break until my son started playing and following football. This was in the dying days of KR’s reign.
That may explain the gaps in my historical knowledge, so please feel free to fill them - I’m more than happy to learn. And I mean that genuinely.
Please also let me know how my understanding of local politics is flawed - again, I’m happy to accept the learning opportunity.
My motives for being here (on this thread, anyway) are to give my view on why some certain people are coming out as so vocally pro stadium, and why some others are playing their cards a little closer to their chests.
As I’ve said elsewhere, I m confident that the stadium will be built because it is - at its heart - a bureaucratic process, not an emotional one, and it frustrates me that some people are trying make political capital out of the lulls in communication and progress that will inevitably come during a process like this.
