New Stadium Plans - The Triangle - Planning

Still nothing on the CDC planning portal other than the scoping opinion conducted back in August

I should imagine Kassam will quite happily take an extra chunk of change for a year while he submits planning for the Kassam site. He'll have the diggers sat there waiting after our final game of the 26/27 season

Kassam will submit his outline planning application as soon as the Stadium planning is approved, if not before, he won't be waiting for us to move out.

What a load of drivel from Steve hill
He claims to of sat down with occ councillors is laughable and the police can't protect it from terrorism 🤣🤣View attachment 17998View attachment 17999View attachment 18000
Regarding stadium access home and away fans will have separate stadium entrances/turnstiles.

Outside the ground the fans can mix as they do now and at every single football ground throughout the country and use the same car parks, means of public transport etc…

As for the P&R being an inadequate size, research and data has already shown how much space there generally is in that car park at weekends and mid week too. However maybe a new additional P&R could be built in Tackley just in case overflow space is needed.

At Portsmouth this weekend I will have a look at how a stadium in a densely populated area is run, how it keeps fans who arrive at Fratton train station completely separated, how the police stop a potential terrorist attack etc, unless Oxford United are some completely special case the same rules that apply around the country should apply to us.

The Triangle is further away from houses than Fratton Park, The Kassam Stadium and what The Manor was.

Im no gambler, but Id be tempted to put money on the ONLY OCC councillor Tackley Steve has sat down with would be Chester V ... probably at a FoSB gathering

Is there compulsory drug testing for £1000 per hour earning, Finance expert, guitar playing, baliffs? There should be IMO, as Tackley Steve , given his ridiculous pontifications, appears to be 'on' pretty powerful hallucinogenic, permanently

If Mr Hill had actually read the police response to the scoping plan, he would see that their concerns are for traffic on the A34 and specifically for traffic leaving the venue. Their other main issue is with people WALKING on Oxford Road and how it needs to be upgraded to cope with extra footfall.

If you take that comment along with the "terrorist threat" (which relates to vehicles being driven into crowds of people), their unstated requirement is for some barriers to be deployed on Oxford Road when there is any possible risk.

At no point do they set any conditions for the P&R and neither should they - it falls under the auspices of British Transport Police!
