Charlton Athletic are a horrific mess - and no amount of scatter-gun signings on deadline day (to add to an already messy and ill-thought-out squad compiled by a range of managers with various ideas) will change that.

They will finish 12th because there is some quality - but it would take a very very impressive immediate fixer to do any more with it.

And that ain't Michael Appleton.

Yep, a barely fit Camara and Hector, whose legs have clearly gone. Still, you’re a consistently good judge of these things.
