International News Covid-19 .....

Yes there is logic in that but if everyone breaks the rules just a little bit we'll never see them end to this.

Exactly, it just prolongs the lockdown. Couldn’t bring myself to grass on the neighbours in the end though!

Near me is a council owned mutli-sports tennis / basketball / football area that is officially closed with some red and white tape across the entrance. Yesterday a couple of groups of young adults were kicking a ball around there / shooting hoops with a portable music system blasting out some tunes. No I didn't ring the non-emergency number to grass them up. Better that they are outside getting some exercise and social contact, than having secret house parties.
Exactly this!
Local park this morning there were some young lads having a kick about, probably not all from the same household, but Covid risk was negligible for them and anyone they would come in contact with.
Compared to the house "over the back" that was having 15-20 people indoors from several households over several hours. Different ball park.

Rules or guidance?
In 30 minutes I can easily walk out of both the City boundary and my postcode/local area/suburb/village.
I turn around and head home and arrive home having done my hour`s legitimate exercise.

Have I broken the rules?

Schools back March 8th then, and excitingly you can now meet up with one person outside for a picnic rather than just exercise, with March 29th earmarked for when 6 people can meet up outside. I know most people don’t really follow the rules, personally I pop round to see my family as at the rate we are going I would like to see them before they die of old age, but that’s still f*****g depressing to think the next month or two will see nothing but schools reopened.

Is it all official yet or is this the usual pre-announcement leak?

I think its idiotic to let 10 million kids go back all on the same day. Are they following what the scientists say on this!?

It is absolutely ludicrous. I am utterly sick of the ridiculous decisions this government repeatedly make.

Quite simple - ease back into school, a couple of days a week alternating which classes are in. Jump on any cases quickly.

Absolutely agree. My son works at a school and he is worried and doesn't think they are anywhere near ready for it. If it goes wrong then it will shove back other things being able to open up. As you say do it in phases. The Welsh and Scots are.

Look at the impact that vaccines are having on the disease, the stats are coming through now.

Of course the schools have all got to go back on the 8th, childrens development has been horribly stunted by lockdown. There are still 2 weeks left to plan for their return. Stop prevaricating.

it’s the first step back to normality.

Just a thought but are HMG just facilitating the ability for schools to go back legally?

Then the LA can say yes or no on public health grounds?
