Promoted teams win against "undoubted talent"
Not all the time they don't, ask Portsmouth fans who have lost to Bristol Rovers and Blackpool last two games . Hull have slipped up a bit , Doncaster likewise , Accrington drew at home , . This league is tight and we are one of a number of clubs there or thereabout ... we can get into the play offs and go up ...I dont give up after a point away at Ipswich though .

Stop following him around. Click ignore.

But yes, you are 100% correct

I don’t think they should be too pleased with that though.their best chance was from Gorrin missing a simple ball 99 times out of 100 he would’ve got easily.
Don't get me wrong it wasn't a scintillating match and they didn't blow us away. However, I thought they were the better team.

Win on Tuesday and this point starts to look very good indeed.
We will need a much better team performance than the previous 5-6 games to beat pompey. The most important thing is to cut out the silly errors. We were lucky today Ipswich messed up the 'on a plate' chances we gave them.

I know Ipswich aren’t in great form but it shows how far we’ve come, as a club and our expectancy, that we‘re a bit disappointed with only a point. We’re talking like the City’s, United’s and Liverpool do, in that anything less than three points anywhere feels a bit flat ! I work it out that if we go win, loss, win, loss, win, loss, win, loss ...... for the rest of the season we should make the play offs on 74 points. On that basis this is a massive point and keeps us right on track.

Should we not be beating upper midtable teams like Ipswich if we hope to go up?

Doesn’t really matter where the teams you beat in the league are as long as over 46 games you amass enough points does it? To get sixth spot you need about 70 to 75 points, in that context a draw against Ipswich away is alright, our biggest problem is all the points we dropped at the beginning of the season.

Winning your home games and drawing your away games guarantees automatic promotion if we want to crassly over-simplify in a slightly different direction.
Over the course of a whole season, yes, but not over the course of a second half of a season if you’ve lost all of your first half games! (Not saying we did that, but there could come a time when drawing away and winning at home wouldn’t be enough for a team to go up)

Scrappy game happy with a point better when Henry came on and Cam went back - Winnall should have come on earlier or started and Kelly made a difference
I think when mcguane comes back should consider drop Gorrin and push cam back there. His passes much more threatening - not that I don’t rate Gorrin but once he gets booked so much less effective.
Excited about the rest of the season just wish I could watch some of it live.
