I suppose chips , mushy peas and gravy IS a Northern gourmet dish, when compared to other Northern delicacies, such as neck broth and the like?

Nothing wrong with Chips, Mushy Peas and Gravy. Lovely jubbly.

Other northern delicacies such as Meat & Potato Pies, Black Peas and Chicken Parmo. All decent eating when slumming it rather than going with the usual Gourmet food.
