Do you think the new Taliban, dubbed Taliban 2.0, will govern Afghanistan in a better way than Taliban 1.0 did?

Some of what they are saying seems slightly positive, but is that just to buy them time until the west have fully left, then go back to the normal Taliban?

though technically almost anything is going to better (albeit marginally) than Taliban 1.0

Tough call.
If (big if) they soften the practicalities of applying the religious doctrine then maybe.
But they won`t, so we have to just accept that is how they live and leave them to it.
Or bribe them to be a bit more "western" in their outlook.
