First away game of the season, in fact only the 3rd game of the season after some untimely and very late postponed matches. Portsmouth are the hosts who themselves have played 4 games and all at home, losing at home 0-2 to Watford on opening day only to beat them in the CUP (AET) seven days later. An 8-0 home win against struggling Hounslow followed before another ET Cup win against mid table Gillingham.
Oxford lost 0-1 in the Cup at home to Crawley Wasps in their opening game but followed that up with a 4-0 home win against Chichester City.
This should be a good test for this evolving squad as they try and build some momentum which saw them go on a lengthy unbeaten run from mid/late October last season.
After a stop start to the season they're now set to play 6 games between now and the end of October.
