Fan's View Fan's View 23/24 - No.41: Cheltenham at home

Thanks as usual for a great report. Exactly as i saw it . Unfortunately seems to be a theme that as soon as we ever take the lead we resort to passive, one paced , turgid football. Can understand it away, ten minutes to go type games, at home, sometimes up to an hour of the game to go, drives me insane! Firstly, we're not good enough as a team to do that , secondly as so many people have commented its mind knumbingly boring ! So many times i see players receive the ball and pass straight backwards without even lifting their heads to see if there is an attacking option on.
The second half was set up for us to have a right go at Cheltenham , they really were nothing special, unfortunately it took them scoring to wake us and change our mindset. As soon as we did we looked a half decent side.

Yeap, one delightful interchange between Dale and Leigh spared us from dropping what would have been our 11th and 12th home points, under Buckingham, vs our half time position.

For the sake of balance, we've gained 5 (Cambridge 3, Wigan 2) but it's still a net loss of 5 home League points from half time onwards.

Enough for it to be a concern.
