RadOx said they believe it was originally going to be an associate of his on the board but now it’s going to be Thohir himself, which means the fit and proper test is dragging on as it’s now changed individuals. Hopefully all goes smoothly and we can see if he has any funds to bring in time for January.

I understand that he was asked to take a full medical and he was found to be 100% fit. Unfortunately as we know our club only accept people who have a history of injuries, so they decided he was too healthy to take a chance on ;)

On a serious note, it does seem to be taking a long time for this to be confirmed one way or another as we understand he will be a minority shareholder with just 9.9% of the shares.

unconfirmed rumor circulating about Thohir's 'arrival' :- KR wants him to do a timed run as part of his fit and proper person checks
....which is on hold until everything at the training ground is 100% fully functional:unsure:

He will, however, turn up to a couple of ‘friendly’ board meetings where he will be asked to leave after 75 minutes and rested for the following one.

Well that's unfair as we’ve signed players who struggle to run!!
 
Well the direction that this thread is heading shows that this story has gone on a tad too long now.. If the intention was that Thohir was to buy a minority of less than 10% share in the club, the length of time to carry out the checks does seem odd. My gut feeling is that it’s all ancient history now and everyone has moved on but it would be nice to know for sure one way or the other.

It all brings things back to that surreal FF back in September. The narrative seemed to be “F#ck Kassam, we’ve had enough. We’ve got a mega hitter coming on board, Kassam can shove his stadium where the sun don’t shine, we’re moving to a new stadium” At the time there was a sense that there was no going back from those events but, as yet, there’s little evidence anything substantial has come of any of it.

I don’t mean to be critical, I believe the owners of our club care, and want to get things moving in the right direction. Who doesn’t understand their frustrations?! Maybe Thohir is still coming in, or maybe Tiger will line someone else up to help with the financial side of things, but, as always, announcing things before they come to fruition is always a gamble. Supporters don’t want to continually be thinking ‘what if..’ Waiting until deals are done avoids threads going downhill like this one for a start ?

I think the nature of who, on the Thohir side, changed meaning the initial delay was valid as the process had to start again. Not sure how long it takes to get through the process nowadays though but Tiger seemed confident it was all going through. Let's see.
