Have to say I’m not looking forward to this one.
Thank you mate, I've had a few people say that. I think it's because I am fairly new to it and take quite a while to upload. I also don't over advertise or do anything outlandish to gain traction but I do appreciate the kind commentVery watchable blog. Surprised you don’t have more subscribers . Very fair analysis and very aware of your opponent.
What are your thoughts on Methven?
Regards Appleton he ended up with a strong set of players but he started very slowly. You need to give him time but judging on the vibe from today looks like he’s unlikely to survive long. Charlton strikes me a little has having a bit of a toxic atmosphere for a few years now and some stability and lowering of expectation may be useful to reduce the pressure and allow someone to start rebuilding. You’re definitely a club worthy of being at a higher level, and we know from dropping to the conference how the psychology of the fans can become a negative factor or a truly positive one once you make peace with your lot.
Ps final score graphic on your video is wrong. You have it as 1-1.
Pps can we have Dobson? Are their bigger clubs circling for him ?
Per the preview on the official site I think it’s 11 after the return of Bodin and Woltman (although those two and Mills were unable to start):I know we're struggling but it can't be 12 can it? Who are they all?
other than out wide and in the middle, do you think we’re ok?Now we just need to strengthen in the window and add a bit of quality in the Attacking areas, out wide and down the middle And hopefully get a couple of players back from injury and we could still be in with a real chance of staying in and around the playoffs. COYY.
Interesting you highlighted Dobson, I also thought he looked decent and he’d supplement our current midfield players perfectly.Very watchable blog. Surprised you don’t have more subscribers . Very fair analysis and very aware of your opponent.

Important to note too that it’s not just about the number we have injured, it’s also about the pressure that puts on the players who are fit. I only watched a few minutes of the Derby game when we were 2-1 up and everyone looked dead on their feet. We’ve been ragging the hell out of the players who are fit and it’s fair to say it doesn’t bring the best out of everyone. Before the game I think we thought it was
Thorniley
Goodrham
Mills
Browne
Edwards
Bodin
Negru
Murphy
Long
Leigh
Henry
But Mills and Bodin made the bench, might not be an accurate list.
Think you mean Stevens not Mills though he was playing like him yesterday.Controversial, but watching back the highlights I think Harris’ goal pips Oisin’s. Starts with a nice pass from Moore, Rodriguez with an insane defence splitting ball to Mills to run onto, a fantastic first-time delivery from Mills, and a great run and finish at the near post from Harris. If that had been Man City scoring that the pundits would have been going nuts!
He is a fantastic player and I will be gutted if he leaves us. He is the perfect anchor at this level. Great turn on the ball, decent range of passing, great engine and can put in a right tackle.Interesting you highlighted Dobson, I also thought he looked decent and he’d supplement our current midfield players perfectly.
We 100% need another option in midfield.
The weight and direction on the passes from Rodrigues and Stevens were both top draw, I don't think many would have played the ball as far forwards as RR did and looked to play it safer, Stevens was also on it straight away. I've been critical of him but it was also proper centre forward movement from Harris which was great to see.Controversial, but watching back the highlights I think Harris’ goal pips Oisin’s. Erm isn’t that like saying Guardiola and Klopp only win things because they have all those good players? And he assembled that team rather than inherited it.Did a decent job here but would have struggled not to with Roofe, Lundstram, Baldock, Hylton, Maguire, Dunkley, Sercs in League Two!
I would say another player in midfield too. Then obviously it depends on the current loan players like beadle and Stevens if they stay or return to their clubs, we would need to replace them if they return.Per the preview on the official site I think it’s 11 after the return of Bodin and Woltman (although those two and Mills were unable to start):
Tyler Goodrham, Jordan Thorniley, Sam Long, Stephan Negru, James Golding, Greg Leigh, George Franklin, Josh Johnson, Marcus Browne, Kyle Edwards and Josh Murphy.

Tbf we have all been looking for stronger contributions from the bench after DerbyYes, amazing goal,
Particularly as Mills was sat on the bench at the time.
Yep. I think it was Stevens wasnt it? The Harris goal has definitely been over shadowed by Smyth's which is understandable but a shame. I am a broken record but he deserves his goal because of his work rate all season and hope this kick starts a few more. We still need a classic striker though.Yes, amazing goal,

Typical Evans comments, his teams foul, bully, cheat and use anyway to win. When it gets punished he blames the ref. Thomson’s foul defines his team, his odious assistant gets sent off for two yellows shows their management ways are to try and threaten and coerce the officials.Evans : It was the ref’s fault.
Now corrected - at that age where I am easily confusedThink you mean Stevens not Mills though he was playing like him yesterday.
Décent vlog and that sense and feeling of despair that any real football fan experiences over the years coming through. I genuinely feel that glory hunters miss out as without the despair, the moments of success never feel quite as special!Yep. I think it was Stevens wasnt it? Quick shout out to @Braziliance - great lad, good insight and I genuinely hope your club gets out of its rut.
He is in the most part, mainly due to his success in a relative small space of time, with some fans blinded by the 2 decent cup runs we had with him in charge.
But on the face of it he was just another run of the mill manager, his first full season coincided with a real togetherness off the pitch and a bright, up and coming director who signed us some insane talent and is now proving himself at Ipswich. We should have walked the league that season but still finished 2nd and needed the final day to clinch promotion, and his second full season after promotion we certainly looked on course for the play offs but frankly, bottled it…
I’ve never understood the glamour of him since he left and his dour stern faced approach leaves me bewildered at why he gets some decent jobs, he’s definitely not someone to inspire a group who’s on the floor IMO. It seems like you have a few off field issues and maybe your lack of success can be put down to that, but I do think a better manager has you higher in the league. That being said, it does seem that you have settled as a mid table L1 club, so maybe the problems are upstairs rather than at the managers door
Fair play, quite a neutral report from the Charlton lad.
