Brown is a centre back playing at left back. And he is making a good job of it. He certainly isn't a wing back and to criticise him for not playing like one is very harsh. I am quite happy to have defenders who are better at defending than they are at attacking. He has been one of our most consistent players and would be one of the first players on the team sheet if I were picking the side.

Also is part of the problem with our style.

We was at our best when Cadden & Ruffels were involved in attacking play & the CDM (Kashi then Gorrin) dropped in to the defence.

If you are going to have marauding fullbacks, you have got to have midfielders - even if it is the wider midfielder rather than the CDM - who can and will drop back to cover the space when they are up the pitch. Macdonald and Baldock.

we deserve a bit of luck let's hope for it on Saturday, fingers crossed coyy

What to expect from BWFC this time around:
Loads of tippy tappy overelaborate build up play that grinds to a halt in the final third, toothless up front and prone to concede after dominating possession.
If you score first, Evatt will persist until the last 20 minutes and then throw the "game plan" (try to play like City with League 1 standard players) out of the window, chuck as many attackers on as he can muster and go hell for leather for an equaliser leaving the back door wide open.
Chances of BWFC scoring first? - slim to none :)

1 -1

I'm trying to imagine what Oxford City would be like with League 1 players.

This sounds remarkably familiar...................... :ROFLMAO: (y)

With Taylor and Bodin both out, I would be tempted to play Seddon right wing so he can cut in on his left foot. No doubt this would have devastating consequences for the Bolton defence.

I'd call it 'less bad than expected' rather than 'turning the corner'.

Remember the bigger picture here. This was a season of 'going for it'. Aggressive in the transfer market and making in roads with our top six budget. We sit 20th and it's a few days until November.

A draw away at Bolton would be no bad thing in most instances. It's the rest of the results this season that show that a solitary point wouldn't do much to out standing overall.
I would suggest that a draw away to Bolton is a very good result whether you are top or 20th!
Fleetwood at home of course is a totally different game and a draw would not be a good result there!
