Obviously it depends on who’s fit, but the next game needs to be something like:

McGinty
Anderson Moore Findlay Brown
McGuane
Brannagan Bate
Goodrham Joseph Browne

Or

McGinty
Long Moore Brown
Anderson McGuane Seddon
Brannagan Bate
Joseph GO’D

Well that was a bloody awful birthday present, a steaming pile of s**t! 💩

EASTWOOD - It’s ludicrous that our clown of a manager is making him play the sweeper keeper role, and having him so far off his line, he looks so uncomfortable with the role, but it’s not his fault if he’s not good enough to play like Edison!
Easty’s been a great servant to the club over the years, but I’m starting to think it might be time for a change.

LONG- Can’t question his commitment, but not the player he was before his injury problems, and turning into a bit of a liability to be honest. We need better, or a manager that can get him performing again.

MOUS- Crazy that we all thought he’d be put out to pasture at the end of last season, but at 36, and having pretty much not played for two seasons, he’s now by far our most important and accomplished defender, and should be one of the first names on the team sheet. Well done Mous 👏

FINDLAY- Awful player, barely league two standard. Embarrassing considering the CB he was brought in to replace.

HENRY- Still a class act, if he was actually played in his best positions, but he’s currently a casualty of an incompetent, naive and clueless manager, who fails to acknowledge that he’s an attacker, not a f*****g wing back!

BROWN- A very good, solid, no nonsense defender, who is clearly a CB who should play instead of Findlay, as he’s a much better player. But he looks lost playing as a wing back. Another casualty of our clown of a manager.

McGUANE- A real class player, unfortunately being made to play in an awful system, by an awful, tactically naive manager. Shame, as under a better manager, he could’ve been part of a successful era at the club, but I fear we’ll lose him before he gets the chance to do that.

BRANNAGAN- Poor sod. He must be feeling so short changed right now. He probably thought he was gonna be part of a quality team challenging for promotion this season, and now he’s finding himself in a squad full of unfit gingerbread men, staring down the barrel of a relegation scrap. Sorry Cam!

BROWNE- Clearly nowhere near the player he was, and if he ain’t gonna play on the wing, it’s pointless him being on the pitch to be honest, because he’s clueless centrally, certainly whilst trying to play in the current awful system our tactically clueless manager is making him play in anyway.

JOSEPH- Can’t fault his effort, but he’s crap.

BODIN- Don’t know what’s happened to him this season, he looks useless and uninterested, maybe the knowledge he was playing for a contract last season gave him a bit of motivation to perform, but he’s a shadow of the player he was in the 2nd half of last season.

Spasov/Goodrahm/Bate- All full of energy and enthusiasm, but let’s be honest, they shouldn’t be getting in a league one side with hopes of promotion to the Championship, and it’s only due to our useless, clueless, incompetent, naive manager, fitness coaches, medical staff and recruitment team that we’re turning to them, in a desperate attempt to turn games around.

And with the exception of Taylor, all the players we’re waiting on to return, are either injury prone or crocks that will get injured again straight away, or the ones who were already so far short of match fitness when they arrived towards the end of preseason, and then got injured and have been out for so long, that even once they’re fit again, they’re still gonna be sooooo far off match fitness, that they’ll be no bloody use anyway!

I’ve been voicing my concerns for a while now, without actually pulling the trigger, hoping KR would somehow turn things around, but that’s enough for me, I’m sick of it, and I’m sick of his gibberish and bullshit, and I’m calling for his head as well now.

ROBINSON OUT!

So same old crappy team, that’s basically done sweet “f” all against mostly the weakest sides in league one in the first 9 matches. Looking at those 2 possible line ups is utterly depressing.

Not a dig you as appreciate thats the realistic options, but what a fu**in s**t shower of a squad we have. Forget the injuries they were mostly predictable and the players not going to be fully fit for some time.

I keep saying it, time and time again, but the Anderson deal is simply staggering, didn’t even get on today, embarrassing from Tiger and KR. We neefed a RWB who was ready to go in 2020, let alone Sept 2022, and actually think we‘ve got a Tiendalli. Sorry if that annoys or offends anyone! But come on it’s just crazy!

Might as well stick Jones in goal, we are just a total and utter shower right now. I could honestly cry looking at those 2 sides above compared to what we could have been with the money that was supposedly available.

Think you’ve probably summed things up perfectly. Hope the board can read your post!

What’s the starting XI for Charlton after today? Wholesale changes!

McGinty
Anderson Moore Findlay Seddon
Murphy McGuane Brannagan Browne
Taylor Baldock

Subs: Eastwood, Long, Brown, Henry, Bodin, Bate, Joseph
Depends on who is manager!

Rubbish Rubbish Rubbish Robinson. Your fault , your team , your tactics.
And that’s the issue about bringing in another manager, you can’t polish a turd. Most of our players we have are Robinson’s type of players, so I’m not sure a new manager could make this shower work.

When you say 'Robinson type of players', I take it you mean have poor injury records?

Ah so not supporting the club is something to be proud of now, and those who do should be ridiculed?

You better log off this forum then, and not spout any more garbage! 👍
Again I say where the hell does say he doesnt support the club and where does he redicule the club.

Sorry these kind of responses to posters, this garbage, had stopped.
Take it with you if you wish to address the forum or be civil to what any posts.
Please.

Is this a good time to remind everyone saying we're doomed for relegation and worse than ever, how we've performed in the first nine league games the last few seasons?

10pts from 9 games 22-23
12 from 9 21-22
9 from 9 20-21
9 from 9 19-20
5 from 9 18-19

Not denying we've been especially poor this season, some of our players are bobbins and we look tactically all over the place, but maybe take a break, enjoy the Bank Holiday weekend and look for a bit of perspective eh?

I thought the ref was OK and let a lot go. A clanger with the penalty, but could the linesman have seen it?
Clanger with the pen? Where was you watching from? Was an absolute stone waller, born out from the fact the defence and keeper look like they have never played before & speak an entirely different language.

Been saying it for a while now but it’s time for change, Robinson has created an imbalanced squad once again and now the football is stale and boring with not one player able to play the ball forward consistently & players passing sideways and backwards on a consistent basis.

Thanks for the memories KR, but your time is up and the club needs fresh impetus and a fresh approach. Do the right thing and leave before you are pushed

Keep lowering that bar.

- We're in the bottom 7 and we've already played 5 of the other 6 from that bottom 7.
- We've played just one of the Top 6.
- 5 home games, 4 away.
- Larger budget than those other years.
- KR has had more time to establish his identify on the club and team.

To compare it to previous seasons is completely disingenuous for a number of reasons, not to mention the obvious fact that none of those seasons ended in promotion anyway.

All things considered, this is the worst start to a season under KR.

That's perspective.

I hope someone remembered to tell the EFL that we're too big to go down.

I remember the excitement of the summer transfer window. I remember thinking of how, after scoring so many goals last season but also conceding too many, the answers were so bloody obvious. Get a strong defence, some new full backs, a big defensive midfielder and replace the outgoing players with quality which we could easily afford. I remember thinking over squad lists and how we needed two players for every position and how best to utilise the 22 spaces we had in the squad. Definitely don't waste a place registering Mousinho, I thought.

And here we are now and I think we only have 19 players registered of a possible 22? But that 19 includes Jones and Smyth, whose only roles so far seem to be to get called up for international duty so we can get matches postponed. That 19 also includes Bald-crock, who we were never getting many games out of, as well as Murphy who only made 12 appearances last season. Meanwhile, it's lucky that 36 year old Mousinho has stuck around because he's the first name down to play in defence at the moment, just because of how desperately poor we are. Findlay might come good at being an out and out defender once he gets used to playing again after a year or so of making a handful of appearances half way round the world, but he is never ever going to be a ball playing centre back, and it's our fault and our problem if we keep asking him to be one. Ciaron Brown is still being shuffled out of position to do a role he tries hard at but shouldn't be asked to. We signed a keeper to address the obvious issue we had there last season but don't play him, so maybe he's not good enough or maybe we're 'protecting him'... but just killing Eastwood every week instead by asking him to do a job he can't do.

Obviously, Robinson has to carry the can for it. It's a shame for him but shameful for us if we don't think we can do better. If you look at the list for the longest serving managers in the football league, Robinson clocks in at 8th. He's the only one in the top 10 who hasn't achieved at least 1 promotion at their current club, or won the Premier League. He's had plenty of time but all we have are missed opportunities and excuses.

Our tallest Player Mous
Our oldest player Mous
Our slowest player Mous

can we defend……NO

We should rebuild from the back, we didn’t, we have crocks, we have five players worth there wages, the rest are liabilities.

As my mate said, if we’re not in the top 10 at Christmas, Robbo has to go.
And a player who was told he was no longer in the manager’s plans 2 or 3 seasons ago!!
