Potential New Ground

Looks a perfect location to me. Will need some changes to the roads in the area, and some form of pedestrian crossing/bridge from the railway station.
We're going to build our own Wembley Way...

The biggest rumour was the North Oxford one and stratfield brake one

Hello. I'm a new poster, but not new to the forum. I have been reading it for many years. Just wanted to add to the mix by saying that a conversation between someone close to me and the council has indicated that the primary location for the new ground is Stratfield Brake, Kidlington. I noticed this location was just mentioned by Oxajh and wondered if this person had information as well.

I hope not. Can't see how they can sell the Oxford brand with a club that don't play with the city boundaries or ring road.
Bicester has a Oxford postcode OX ..........it is the perfect place......easier to get to than the ka$ham .........more pubs .....much better experience. Bicester village is the most visited place by Chinese tourists in the country after Buckingham palace..... maybe investors would like to tap into that somehow???........

It might have an OX postcode but it's not Oxford! While you might gain the odd Chinese tourist day tipper , how many loyal fans will be put off?

ABSOLUTELY NOT A CHANCE it will be Stratfield Brake......there is a nature park there which will NOT be touched, there is NO parking....AT ALL. the only possible place around there would be Frieze farm which is supposed to be used as a golf course replacing NOGC when/if they build houses on it.....whichimo will not happen..........the football ground rumour next to the Park
way station was started by that great bufoon councillor Huspeth.........one great bit idiot.

edit......the thing i say will not happen is the golf course being reinvented on Frieze farm.......not the building of houses on the old course.

Driving to Bicester would be like going to an away game! Almost. ;)

Please everyone bookmark this post. It will become the equivalent of @Essexyellows ’bit of a snuffle’ COVID 19 prediction.

Bicester has 2 stations,it is also going to be connected to Milton keynes and bedford soon..........look at Brightons stadium.....no parking there at all..........we would be the same.......so no one would be driving.

The site is huge. It is larger than the railway station and car park, and the park and ride car park put together. It apparently would only need a 375m walk way between the closest points to the railway station as well. I am only telling you what I have heard.

DC United Audi Fields Stadium - broke ground 27th Feb 2017, first game 14th July 2018.

Of course much of the time is spent before a shovel touches the ground, but I'd think August 2024/5 wouldn't be impossible if everything comes together.
Have we got enough time to build a new stadium before the existing lease runs out. What a lovely problem to have that will be.

As you can see, its bigger than the whole of the station and park and ride site.

Number 1 is what is available atm...just above it is land that could be available as its an old farm and is earmarked for private housing, the ground to the right is possibly available.,Number 2 is Frieze Farm......anyone who has queued up in the mornings for ages will know the roads would not cope.

Yes, yes, we know this but, have you put in the planning application yet?
