Happy St George's day

Doesn't really answer the question though does it?

Because it's a pointless question, maybe you need to ask 'the party' in relevance to St George's day I prefer to celebrate England, and the pathetic little snowflakes can f**k off...

Pointing out contradictions and hypocrisy is not pointless.

Can't be patriotic anymore, the leftwaffe don't like it...

What would St George say about your fear of being patriotic because of your perception that the left wouldn't like it?

I have no fear, right on the front foot and see the spineless left for what they are..

St George's day is for all, no matter their background!

Sit down for this one. He didn't slay a dragon!!!

St Edmund is the original patron saint of England .... St Edmunds day is Nov 20th... St Edmunds flag is a white dragon on a red background

(St) Giorgio the Turk replaced St Edmund during the 3rd crusade, after King Richard The Lionheart ( born in Oxford) in 1199 prayed at the shrine of Giorgio in Lydda on the eve of a battle... which Richard the Lionheart won. King Richard adopted Giorgio as his personal patron and protector of the army

Both The St Edmund white dragon and St George cross flags were both used by English armys in conflict from the time of Edaward 1 .... in 1348 Edward 111 founded the knights of the garter, St George was made patron of the order, Edward 111 also declared St George was patron saint of England
Giorgio the Turk was declared patron saint of 16 other countries too, his Christian martyrdom being the factor

there have been two recentish campaigns to reinstate St Edmund as patron Saint of England , one in 2006 and one in 2016 .... St Edmund was English, an Anglo Saxon king, wheras St George / Giorgio The Turk never set foot in England
Don't think you can call him a Turk as they only invaded where he was from centuries later.....now Greek or Roman maybe

Apart from the left?

Happy St George's Day ?????????

Unfortunate that the media and my workplace would rather publicise the start of Ramadan but there you go, it's 2020.

Your workplace? Can I ask what sector you're in?

Good grief. Can we not all celebrate? If Ramadan (no idea if it has a fixed date) happens to fall on St George's day, why can't we have joint festivities?
