Stewart Donald anyone.....

SD selling up - as if it hasn’t been obvious for a while.

Getting big earners of the books and bringing in loans/frees. Who knows what sort of owners Sunderland will now end up with.

Gives a good excuse not to spend in January I think the pot ran dry a little while back, which is why there was the £10m loan from the yanks. Suspect it might be a much harder sell this time round with no promise of parachute payments to be pocketed by the owners, and no immediate chance of promotion.

Although Robinson might see it as a good chance to get a few players on the cheap!! I wonder if Charlie could recommend a couple?!

There’s a lot of land and property at blunderland though. Let’s hope :- tiger , the builder , Zaki and his brother , Bakrie. And the unnamed investors.

Don’t swap. Or perhaps they do?

No chance they are here for the Oxford name. They know how global we could go if we were a premiership team. Plus the backers, investors are after a land deal where they will make some real money by putting much needed leisure facilities on it, there is not that opportunity at Sunderland.

I used to have a bit of a soft spot for Sunderland, but after glancing at their forum a few times over the last couple of months I’ve gone off them a bit. They need a dose of humility. Man City developed it with their drop into level 3. We definitely did with our time in the conference, although it took at least a season (maybe we were to the conference what the Mackems are to us?).
Where you are is the new normal: build from there. That way you’ll be happy with success rather than disappointed with failure.

They do have some players that might help our future..

Seven points from nine for Sunderland. Up to 9th place and only one from the play offs or five from the automatics.

It only takes any team three wins and they can shoot up the table. Wycombe and Ipswich are dropping off.

And hopefully we can add to Ipswich dropping off.

Haha.

SD meets representatives of fans groups in amicable meeting on 27th Dec only for them to throw him under the bus a few days later. Too much Newcy Brown over the festive season? Current short-term form suggests they may have shot their bolt slightly early...

Hope the next owner screws them over.

And so do I.

To the gravimum: back in the day, when the world was young, industry was dying and Blyth Valley hadn't become a Disneyfied suburb the mackem brown was a thing called Double Maxim, a pale imitation of Jorney Inter Speyus brewed (iirc I wasn't much interested) by the Vaux Brewery somewhere in County Durham. It appears it still exists and I seem to recall seeing a dwarfish, red-clad creature holding a bottle outside that pub just by the Stadium of Plight that looked rather like my recollection of the original receptacle for the filthy muck. Thank you.
