Transfer News Ched Evans

He is available and if he wanted to come after some of the comments on here, I’d be surprised.
He is a proven goal scorer and something we’ve not had here in a long time.
I’d like him here and can only see positives.
Is anyone really questioning his commitment? I think he’s proved himself as a player and it’d be great if he came this way
 
There are some crazy comments on this thread from all sides of the spectrum, but the most ridiculous is the suggestion that Ched Evans would read, take notice of, or give a shite about the comments on here!!!!

He's had his life dragged through the national press, spent a couple of years in prison as a 'nonce' and all the abuse and threats that come with that, then after release he plays in front of thousands of fans getting the same abuse before and after a retrial that once again drags everything out in the press.

Do you really think a few people saying that he is a bit of a dickhead on here will break him after going through all of that??
 
As it stands I think we would be ecstatic to get a quality, proven centre foward at this level . I'm revising what we need and think that two centre forwards is a must as well as the mythical left sided centre back. I'm afraid that Mackie and Hall might be struggling more than we know with injuries but on the brighter side lets go with youth as back up players and actually give them a chance

I reckon he could look on any clubs fans forums and they would be the same. Some very much against him and some with no issue.
In addition he will be very thick skinned.
I doubt if he would even bother to look on here and even if he did, he would hardly be surprised or concerned.

Arrogant I'll give you, but the only thing I'm dismissive of is stupid comments like yours!

Ched Evans will be worried about how much he's on, how long the contract is, the ambitions of the club, the credentials of the manager etc. The one thing he won't be worried about is the views of a handful of fans.
 
each to their own view - neither you nor I know said bloke so neither of us know his perspective - yes am sure he does worry about all those things but for all either of us know he may be sick and tired of all the abuse and shite - he will accept it is gonna happen wherever he goes but he may well decide to go to a club where there may be slightly fewer precious types having hissy fits over a man who was acquitted in court

And where is that club? Fans have different views and some are more positive than others. But even if we look at those who wouldn't want Ched Evans to play for us (not precious or hissy fits) then they total something like a couple of dozen.

To put it in to perspective, that's probably less than those questioning whether Gavin Whyte was good enough to step up to league 1, and about 1% of those who thought Matt Murphy was shite!!

So whilst I accept that Ched has had a bad run, and will have had enough of the abuse, I very much doubt that he will give a monkey's testicle for the thoughts of anyone on here!

Can't help but think that Mr Evans knows nothing other than football. If I were him, I'd be looking for some sort of employment out of the limelight and away from those who would condemn.

well I hope for his sake he isn't found in possession of said monkey's testicle or he may find himself back behind bars once again
 
Correct me if im wrong scotchegg ... and tou would know better than me as someone who spends alot of time behind bars ... but isnt a nonce a kiddy fiddler? :unsure:
