My father in law went to his neighbour's funeral this month. During the ceremony it was mentioned that he played a couple of games for us in the 60s as well as plenty of clubs in the south east (Dover, Witney, Swindon).

Was living in Yarnton for at least the last 6 or 7 years.

Died Feb 2024. RIP Alan

Sad news, I played cricket with Fuzzy lovely bloke and decent cricketer too.
Lived in Yarnton at least 20 years.
Lost his place in the Wealdstone team to a youngster called Stuart Pierce.

RIP Alan Fursdon

I hope the club officially recognise the passing of a former player

RIP Alan
I remember seeing him play for the reserves at the Manor with my Dad bless him, for about a season 67/68 .
We went regularly to the combination games on a Wednesday night. It should be reinstated. Good for getting players fit again and staying fit. Players would play the whole 90 minutes not 15 here and there and never being 'match fit'
