New Stadium Plans - The Triangle - Planning

What a sad thing to campaign against

"friends of" is such a misnomer
A friend of one of the other FOSB members described her as a "pompous vinegary woman who thinks she has a right to dictate her opinion on others"

This was related to an argument within FOSB where apparently Suzanne was asking people to put money in their pockets because she didn't want too. Bizarrely the FOSB person ranted to a pal, who is wife to a massive Oxford fan and didn't know...

What a horror! She's a bloody millionaire isn't she?

If the party line is favourable towards the stadium then they need to say so. Allowing two councillors to object on the planning portal under their own names as LibDem councillors is scandalous. They have the right and proper route to follow which is to present OUFC with the council's perspective and the conditions upon which the council will give it's blessing to a lease of the land.
Instead, they have chosen to make official their opposition to the stadium. However they may dress it, what they have done is contrary to their positions within the council and the cabinet. Hypocrisy and duplicitous behaviour. They have presented arguments against the planning permission as county councillors. They have not presented OCC policy. It is an abuse of position, plain and simple.
Levy is treading a very thin line. On one hand he states, in council, that he cannot break confidence and talk about the discussions held with OUFC. On the other, he states unequivocally to CDC planning consultation why he is opposed. Are we to believe that his grounds for opposing are not the subject of discussion with OUFC?

The whole thing stinks.

The old saying that Tony Benn used to often quote has just popped up inside my head;

“Say what you mean, and mean what you say”

Suzanne McIvor run Community Action Group "Friends of Cutteslowe Park" who were anti the distressingly large volley ball court in 2015, didn't seem to fussed about them once they opened...

New and fun prerequisite for an objection, can't have plebs having fun. These sad people

Another LibDem volunteer told me that we should ease off them because they actually do support the stadium but... Gant & Levy will ultimately support but need to show "influential" anti-Stadium voters in their areas that they're anti. Layla Moran is a bit confused and non-plussed, she's convinced herself the football fans are having a go at her for other reasons. She also doesn't care too much because it's not her constituency anymore. She's also met and been photographed with McIvor.

The person alluded to meetings being held in secret, without notes as "that woman" is a nightmare with FOI requests, Im sure they meant our Suzanne. They want to keep her sweet but not because they agree but because she's problematic and time consuming.

It's interesting and could have truth but while we're so close to the local elections, having a promise of "don't worry lads" is concerning if they're also telling the other side not to worry! What is the truth!

She might not care too much, but perhaps Layla Moran should check out the planning portal for the stadium, she will see dozens and dozens of supportive comments from OUFC fans in Abingdon and other areas of her constituency.

Gant and Levy’s anti OUFC stance will affect her vote for sure come the GE.
