Ex-Staff Karl Robinson

He might be ok. He can treat the club as his own personal fiefdom. He gets to rub shoulders with famous ex players. And most people will be able to understand him.

Imagine an argument between KR and Gary Neville lol.

first game is v Forest Green - Matty Taylor and Nathan Holland may be extra keen to play (though Nathan doesn't appear to have ever been fit enough to play so far).

That is so Robinson. Small club that he can imply are tiny with the inference that anything he does is an overachievement. Not as much as in the past due to Wrexham being the new darlings but he'll make sure they, and by extension he, get in the press plenty. They'll play nice football at times with a deceptively competitive budget but likely achieve nothing while he does just enough to keep his job and add another few hundred games to his record.

He's also got a chance to get his feet well in the door before the last 2 days of the transfer window, which as we know is when all the best players become available. No point going too early.
