Current Player #3 Ciaron Brown

I've asked the same question, there must be something in place, or the employers would refuse their assets playing Internationals? As a side note, any monetary recievment wouldn't compensate points lost due to our team being weakened.

"The payouts for any injured player will vary from individual to individual depending on the size of their salaries but the maximum daily amount payable on an injured player will be $27,000 a day... The policy will cover an injured player for a maximum of one year."

Think it only kicks in after 28 days to account for non-major injuries. So if he's out for three weeks we won't get a penny.

It's been a crazy 14 months.

Imagine someone had said to you last July, upon the marquee signing of a (one time) £11m winger on a massive wage, that within little more than a year anyone would be sincerely arguing the case for that same player being a solid 3rd choice Left Back.

Based on one game.

Vs Northampton reserves.

Wild.

You can only play what’s in front of you.

Or not play.

Who do you suggest as the 3rd choice left back?

Karl would be proud

Stevens, Long or Thornily.

Seriously did anyone who's advocating Murphy playing left back against Fleetwood actually watch the Northampton game?!?

He was brilliant going forwards no doubt, but his positioning was.....well.....roughly what you would expect from a guy who's played his entire career as a forward. He left absolutely acres of space in behind him, and got caught under multiple crosses. It was only because Northampton were utterly woeful that they didn't take advantage (other than the pen).

I guess it's possible that Fleetwood are also utterly woeful, given where they are in the table; but that would be the only excuse for playing Murphy at left back against them. If we think they have anyone capable of offering an attacking threat down their right hand side, we need to have a genuine defender back there.

If Long is still injured then Stevens plays right back.

And then I think you play Thornily at LB (because otherwise, he's on the bench based on play so far this season).

If Long's fit, then he and Stevens can toss a coin to decide who has to play on the left!

They could P**s up against a wall, highest gets to choose whether they are right or left back. If that wall happens to be in Kidlington then all the better, helping the locals get used to what is to come.

Brown will be OK to play on Saturday
