The pitch when Town were running would either be flooded or rock hard from my experience. When reffing there, I don't think I ever wore boots, just trainers.

I think they would have carried on in Hellenic Lg 1 paying no wages etc without much hope of progressing unless somebody decided to spend money or somehow stumbled on a way to make the ground pay (somewhere between Bob Hope and no hope on that one).
