Not a horrible performance. Just lacking a bit in the final third. The first Harris chance was an epically good double save from their keeper....but he should probably have done better on the couple of occasions he's got behind the defense.

McEachran is the best player on the pitch. I feel like I've written that a lot for these Tinpot Trophy games, and absolutely never for a league game, but whatever - he's been class above and almost everything good has flowed through him.

I don't think we've learned anything much from that first half, have we?

Thorniley is desperately out of form.
Henry is shot.
Harris misses chances.

At least McEachran is having a decent game. As was Stevens until he went all doo-lally at the end.

Golding only player standing out for us. Every time he's had the ball to his feet he's passed it forward through the lines into feet, he's also carried it out from defence well, Atkinson esque.

Mceachran has sublime vision and passing ability but hates using it, much prefers to play the safe backpass. He's made a few cracking passes this game that should have led to more, wish he'd do it more often, he's extremely slow defensively so bit of a luxury to carry in centre mid now.

Goodrham energetic and Harris wasteful. Not much else to say on the rest, should be doing better than we are.

We’re technically superior but we look like we can concede from anything these days. It will only take a flick on from Pell or Davison to do the damage.

Our corners frustrate me - like they have done all season - as they’re so poor and easily defended.

Should not have conceded the goal - a miss-kick from Harris in their penalty area and six seconds letter Tilly is free to come inside Thorniley and bury it past Eastwood.

Shocking from an organisational point of view.

I'm impressed by the physicality of his defending. Getting very tight to his man and putting a foot in wherever possible. Looks a strong lad, and I don't think he'd be overawed by League One.

Think I'd rather have in him the side than Thorniley at the present, who's looking a shell of his former self. And he played 30 games in the Championship last year?!?

This probably seems a little harsh on McEachran based on this game as so much is going through him and he's made some brilliant passes. It just frustrates me how little we see that ability most weeks.

Agreed Golding is very impressive.

McEachran does very well when he's got so much time on the ball, which he doesn't as a rule.

I wouldn’t think JH will last more than an hour.

Really? We’re not playing badly, it’s just the finishing we need to improve. Goals to come for us I feel.
depends on what you class as playing well. Being a bit better but still losing to a poor L2 team to me isnt that great

Not a bad half performance wise, aside from the goal.
We've had a few chances and should have scored.
Golding playing well at LCB, isn't he right footed?

Watching a stream with the dons commentators (who are quite good tbf) they mentioned that the QF draw is nationalised.

Attacking options on the bench: Woltman, O'Donkor, Elliott-Wheeler,

McGuane, Took-Oxley in midfield

These are two rather poor teams IMO. We look marginally better than them but are of course a goal down and we look a bit ragged at the back - you wouldn't be surprised if we conceded again despite being on top. Some of our passing out of defence has been awful - either straight out of play or straight to a Wimbledon player. I know we need a new keeper, but unless doing that is going to make the outfield players move faster, we need rather more than just that!!! We are very slow and predictable - the booming cross field passes look great, but unless there is someone there to support the person receiving them, they are fairly useless. Let's hope for better in the second half.

If you're uk, you can use the iplayer to line rad oxford with the stream very easily.
