Er, he mistimed his challenge after being caught out of position. A more ruthless team would have shut up shop post equaliser. We looked like we were trying to win it; kamikaze in hindsight.Interesting take to criticise Stevens over the pen. Perhaps he was all at sea because he was trying to be in multiple places because 2 of his team mates had got sent off?

A more experienced side would have held onto a point. O’D not being on pitch was a big miss.
Stevens up 1?!? Do me a favour!Brannagan down one (he did well after we went down to 10 but was completely ineffective before that) and Stevens up one, the rest is about spot on I would say.

Jesus wept. From what I've seen he's at least as good as Long defensively and a lot better on the ball, I'm flabbergasted anyone could think he's nowhere near as good as Long.Stevens up 1?!? Do me a favour!
From what I've seen of him, he's nowhere near as good as Long, and the sooner Sam returns to the starting lineup, the better.
Long has been by far the better performer of the two so far this season.Jesus wept. From what I've seen he's at least as good as Long defensively and a lot better on the ball, I'm flabbergasted anyone could think he's nowhere near as good as Long.
Talk of being out of position for the goal is nonsense too. He had their winger outside of him and had to come over to try and meet the untracked runner from midfield. If he were there in the first place then he'd have been in the wrong position.
We'll have to agree to disagree here. He had a very good game at Derby, was poor against Cambridge and generally defended ok against Barnsley but was hopeless on the ball and was incredibly lucky to not cost us a goal when he completely miskicked a simple clearance. Didn't see Cambridge so can't comment there.Long has been by far the better performer of the two so far this season.
Have a look at their defender for the equaliser. As soon as Perkins makes that run into the box he had no eyes for the ball and went to block Perkins like he was playing American football before wrestling him to the ground in the 6 yard box. Perkins did pretty well to occupy him so well but there was no advantage signal from the ref so doubt we'd have got a penalty for it. I know there's always a bit of holding and jostling but I don't recall many as blatant as that.
'Offers more on the ball' than Long? I don't think so. In the second half he barely did anything but pass backwards and sideways. An upgrade on Long he ain't.We'll have to agree to disagree here. Stevens was no noticeable step down defensively but offers more on the ball. Long is better in the air and defending the back post but I've only seen him have one good game this season.

It didn't take a football genius to work out that we needed a plan B in honesty. People very quickly forgot about Cambridge once we had played teams that let us play. Sure enough today we couldnt finish our dinner and frustration boiled over. We are a good team. I'm not doubting that. But it's fine margins.Kip is always annoyingly correct with his predictions to be fair to him!
Yes, he offers more on the ball and is a better player, end of
Yes, let's dismiss the argument by saying 'end of'. A ridiculous comment. And you've come to that conclusion after seeing him play twice, have you?Yes, he offers more on the ball and is a better player, end of
Bookmark this. The decision not to strengthen up front yesterday will see us in the playoffs rather than automatics. It was a ludicrous decision.

Yep. We have enough quality I think. But we hugely missed a trick yesterday. Marriott or Eisa in that team today and we win 3-1 (and we are not facing 3 games with a totally untried loaner up front alone)I'm slightly worried that you're predicting a top 6 finish!
Of course, that's why he's only played some 200 games thus far. He's clearly not up to it. Your logic is indisputable.I've come to the conclusion by seeing long play enough times
