Ex-Staff Karl Robinson

Wish him luck in the future but he was well overdue the sack.

Now let’s look at getting a decent manager in and try and survive this ominous looking situation we find ourselves in.
Should have been done months ago like a lot of us were saying so that credit could have been on both sides. Leaving it this long as put our club in jeopardy, left us questioning the board and Karl leaving having virtually no credit at the club. Poor management all round.

I would hope and imagine thoughts turning to new manager throughout February by the board

Thanks for some great football and good memories KR. You were close to taking us up and we played some great football along the way. However this season has been such a disaster that you can have no complaints about losing your job. Now let's get the right person in who can make us hard to beat, keep us up this season and then build from there with another good budget in the summer.

We don't know how close they are to appointing a new manager, perhaps they thought a first stage announcement was best.
Well hopefully so - nothing would please me more.

Their dithering to this point, to the point of almost fatal damage for our League One status, suggests otherwise, but I hope to be pleasantly surprised about a positive and swift announcement as part of stage two.

All eyes still on the leadership at the club - they’ve taken the obvious first step, belatedly - the next decisions are even more important.

Genuine question- Matty Taylor left because he fell out with KR. Some may wish to question this but it is true.

Is there anyway his loan at Vale can be terminated and he can play for us again this season or is that not posssible?

It’s fantastic that KR is gone, finally. But we still need to score goals and Taylor would be our best option by a distance (if possible).

I feel sorry for Scotchers and Gilbert who now no longer have a club to support. Well, until Karl finds a new job I suppose.
Strange post considering I have supported the club since 1995 and have had a season ticket for god knows how many years even though I live over 100 miles away.

It was the right decision although should of been done a while ago, I said after the Wycombe away game he should of been gone then.

Obviously the board were hoping he would turn it around but it has been clear for the last few weeks he couldn’t do it.

Good luck to him but as a club we move on and a new chapter begins! Hopefully exciting times ahead.

I don't think so, but if we are able to recall Taylor, we may as well recall Jones and Stevens. Give the New Manager a chance to decide whether they are up to the task or not.
