International News Black Lives Matter

How bitter do you have to be to hold the opinion that a charity helping out in BAME communities is racist.

I thought that was rain outside, I guess it's really large amounts of froth heading down from the Midlands.

Not at all, there should be no discrimination in either direction based on colour or origin.
Same as things like the Black Police Officers Association or our BAME Action Group at work that excludes white members of staff............... it`s racism, discrimination based on skin colour.
Everyone should be treated equally. Full stop.

BLM but gay ones don`t.............................

Has anybody actually said bigots don't exist in the Black community?

And good on the San Diego Loyal putting their teammate/principles first over the competition as they gave up a 3-1 lead which would have got them into the play offs according to that. A 6 game ban seems rather lenient.

Point being don`t see the skin colour, don`t see the sexuality, don`t divide the human race.

what a bunchve softies.....bet their supporters were pleased ..............................jeeeeeeez offended at anything that moves

Well he obviously didn't mean it in a positive sense! It was clumsy and a poor choice of phrase but from the question, it very much sounded like he thought it would be a *bad* idea to go back to the 'good old days' of segregation.

He should have thought before he spoke, but I don't think he meant it in the way its being taken. It would be interesting (well. maybe a bit!) to see a longer clip so there was more context.

Its Twatter........ any context is removed to suit the posters agenda.
Then shared in the echo chamber.

Context doesn't matter in 2020. Context is just one of those little things that gets in the way of satisfying, virtuous outrage.

See it, post it, ask questions later.

Yes, and the problem with that is that a clumsy turn of phrase (this one for example) is suddenly as 'outrageous' as the REAL vile racist rubbish that gets posted, so the latter is somehow diluted.

Yep he sure is a funny guy. Last Friday said that young black people and immigrants can “go anywhere” in South Carolina and then added, “you just need to be conservative, not liberal". Don't you just love him.
