General Sven-Goran Eriksson

That’s sad. He didn’t really achieve what he perhaps should have done with England - like many others before and after him - but well respected and a likeable character.
 
Sad news to wake up to this morning.

I was going to link to the "Sven Sven Sven Goran Eriksson" song on YouTube, but it mentions a person not worthy of being compared too in his final months.

I listened to that again just now. It was bad at the time and even worse with 2024 ears on.

As for SGE, prior to England he was a progressive and very successful coach. He certainly had a massive impact on the game.

Very sad news and I hope his final months are happy and comfortable ones for him.
 
Liverpool fans have called for him to be manager of their legends team in March.

Apparently it was always his dream to manage Liverpool, so this is a nice touch.

Lets hope it happens for him.
