Referee calls for FA support after attack by spectator

CCTV footage shows a man punching the referee twice after a youth football game on Merseyside.

How the hell have the FA Appeals Board overturned the 5 year ban from football activities/touchline for this moron who physically threatened a young Ref then actually punched another Ref twice?!

It was an U7s game and he reacts like that, it should be a longer ban not overturned. Good on the young Ref for abandoning the game.

Yet a Leeds fan gets a 6 year ban for pushing Eddie Howe. I think this ban is fine but that he gets 6 years but the first moron gets his ban overturned is absolutely ridiculous.

So much for the FA protecting grassroots Refs.
