I think Bamford was obscuring the linesman's view, that was the pundits opinion anyway. In that case perhaps the linesman should have used Bamford as his reference point and he was a yard offside too, so they really should have got that one right.

Could not agree more. How stupid do people look when they blame tiredness, squad depth, last summers recruitment etc when, as you say, this time last week we were 5 points clear of Lincoln and about to play them at home in a normal Tuesday night game and in front of a packed crowd!

Exactly. Decent, is that enough? We’ve had plenty of ‘decent’ footballers that have got us nowhere. We need to aspire to bringing in quality L1 footballers or, as I alluded to previously, we have these same conversation in a years time when we finish 7th or 8th again.

Not guarantee but would have been back in our own hands and only needing a draw at Exeter, irrespective of what Lincoln did. That’s a major difference to being out of our hands, needing to win at Exeter and relying on Pompey on the road - and very likely on the beach too.
