Manager/Coach Des Buckingham

I'm not happy tonight.

That was a cracking eleven and an excellent bench.

Post Match interview question: "Do you a plan or style?"

Des: "Yes, I've changed it two or three times in the last two games"

😂

Yep. The players let us down very badly today.

experience" did Kieran McKenna
Assistant at Manchester Utd 2018-2021 and before that manager of their U-18s team and before that manager of Spurs U-18s, so better than EFL experience.
Oxford would never have got someone wi that pedigree, we get someone who was at Mumbai City who would not make the bottom tier of the EFL ffs.

The football is grim, plan a isn’t working , not sure if there is plan b, what do the players actually do in training if we are seeing the result of time on the training pitch, total inability to produce anything from throw in apart from going backwards, a reflection on the season

Sacking him is simply not going to happen , whatever individuals might feel.

This is a management team which wouldn’t sack KR when we were nearly getting relegated, so they’re not going to sack Des as we drift from the play-off to (probably) a midtable finish.
I'd love to see some ruthlessness from the board and see them make a change to get in the play-offs this season.

For me to fully judge, he's got until November - another transfer window and a suitable part of next season to make his mark. Sure it hasn't been good since he's been here but it's still far too early for him to be dismissed.
You're part of the problem going forward! He cant be trusted with one of the strongest squad at he disposal as it is!

I admire Des, they way he gave periodic interviews with the Oxford Mail to keep his profile high and get his name in the frame when there was a vacancy, he played the game superbly. He's also clearly one hell of an interviewee!

Well it's all to do with opinions, I think short termism in taking a view of a manager and their abilities is 'part of the problem' so there we are. For me, a manager needs a season and two transfer windows to judge, others like to fire more from the hip.

I think that’s a little harsh. Wallop has obviously got the patience of a Saint. He entitled to that, just as we are to call for the manager to be fired.

I’m with you that Des has to go though.

All you Buckingham lovers are part of the problem that keeps us accepting second best, it's not happening under Buckingham and it never will, he is tactically inept and this is with one of the strongest teams in this division, time to go Buckingham.

I’m with you on that, as I’ve suggested previously we must get an experienced number two in to help Des, then give him the summer and a couple of months into next season then judge him.
