Manager/Coach Des Buckingham

And what is the evidence that we’ve been “offering people pay cuts” ?
He didn't say we've been offering current staff members pay cuts.

The way I read it, is that we've been offering people who work for other clubs pay cuts.
The below is all part of the same point, not separate points.

we spent months chasing people, offering them pay cuts and getting turned down
As an example:
We've gone to Y staff member, who works at Z club on £X. We've offered them £X-£500p/w. They're not our staff member, never have been, but we've still offered them a pay cut.

if we get perverbly battered tonight by Portsmouth (5-1 or worse), I fear many will decide enough is enough.

I'd like to think I'm not one of 'many' but I fear I could be. I hope I'm not. Tonight has a significant feel about it for sure!

On another note, I've heard some worrying rumours suggesting the players aren't entirely taken with Des Ball yet (Hopefully the gossip of kids and nothing more)

Fingers crossed for a great result, come on Des and come on you Yellows !

Out of interest did you keep going in KRs last season ( presumably not)

I don't think it's entirely surprising the players aren't convinced (if those rumours are correct of course), they look confused and results speak for themselves.

Difficult to believe in methods that have taken you from 2nd to 7th from a player's perspective, and it's not like Manning at MK where Does can point to a playoff or promotion (in the UK league), so he possibly has extra work to do.

This for me was one of the reasons an experienced assistant was so key.

Something does need to come together soon.

How would you stop going now then- enough could br enough.
You are suggesting that this is worse than KRs last season?

Robinson made a series of poor decisions on and off the field. In the end, the results plus losing the dressing room was his end.

Any chance we can close this thread now, which has become increasingly strange. For those that can't let it go, here are a few phrases for you to use... clueless... hopeless...rabbit in headlights...out of his depth...PE teacher...tired...no contacts...Mickey Mouse League. And so on.

After that battling performance to the end then I think we can put to bed the false rumours that the players aren’t playing for Des.

You are talking about pretty concerning thing at the club: I'dd say an employee posting details of someone's wage offer would be pretty concerning- wouldn't you?

I think it says a whole lot about your priorities that you appear to believe anything posted on this forum and get angry with someone who asks what evidence there is for a very specific allegation.

I've heard tatabanya likes smearing his chest in Pedigree Chum and having it licked off by dachshunds. Could you provide some evidence that it's not true?
That last paragraph, god I’m wet.

No, but I don't need you to provide any evidence it isn't and I'm not bothered if you want to say it on a forum. Whether people will believe it is dependent on the believability of both the story and the authority of the storyteller. So, in this case, I don't have much to worry about.

In regard to the two preferred options for Assistant Manager, my understanding is that terms were not offered to the first option and they had already committed to another role elsewhere. The second did discuss terms but didn't want to relocate at this time, this is something that may well change in the summer.

I'm not sure either came down to finances directly, and no one has been offered reduced terms from what they currently have.

Of course, everyone has their price and we could have offered a deal that would compensate for someone leaving their family behind, and leaving a previously agreed commitment, but that isn't always the best way to do business.

So I don't agree that we tried to bring people on on the cheap or offer them a pay cut to come here, but I also have no proof other than bits and pieces that I've heard from others.

Interesting insight, from which everyone can make a decision whether to believe it or not.

But Chromeyellow won't ask you for proof of those equally unfounded claims. I wonder why?

We didn’t offer pay cuts, one didn’t want to relocate and one got offered more money by their current employer, that doesn’t mean we offered them a pay cut.

In fact I’ve never known anyone at a staff level of a football club to be offered less money than they were currently getting at an existing club if the employing club has approached them.

Again, I'll wait for Chromyellow to ask you to provide evidence of such claims.
