Everybody who knows anything about cricket would accept and acknowledge that Ben Foakes is an excellent keeper, and Jonny Bairstow is a poor one.
The only justification for keeping Bairstow as WK is his batting - but he's averaging 23.50 in the series to go with his eight missed chances.
It's a combination of stubborn adherence to the BazBall code and loyalty to its proponents taking precedence over what actually gives us the best chance to win Test matches. And it's driving me absolutely loopy.
