I'm sorry they explicitly are. None of the evidence put forward has been adjusted to take into account other factors. Deaths in police custody are simply presented as number of deaths in police custody as a proportion of the population of that ethnicity (ignoring the ones that actually do better like Chinese and Indians). Here is an example from my previous posts
https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/52890363 and the guardians unbiased
take on it
https://www.theguardian.com/uk-news...ody-the-tip-of-an-iceberg-of-racist-treatment straight out not even pretending to look at the statistics they expect 3% deaths in custody for 3% of the population. Exactly the same goes on in relation to stop and search
https://www.theguardian.com/law/201...-targeted-under-relaxed-stop-and-search-rules again no taking into account the sort of crimes that these people may be involved in or the areas policed. I bet more men were targeted too in both i doubt that mean the police are sexist too.
Either way it isn't racism then so drop the race aspect. Race explicitly relates to a background and skin colour, it makes no reference to language. People deliberately confuse nationalism, xenophobia and racism. The latter is abhorrent and shouldn't be tolerated. I have a definitely Pakistani (in terms of parents country of birth and also race) friend who speaks only english in a distinctly north eastern accent she would have no problems communicating and is about as British as you come here race is definitely Pakistani however would have no difficulty with British cultures and language. you cannot be xenophobic of her she is British born and bred you cannot be nationalistic against her she is English.
My main point with this is the police are assumed to be guilty and cannot seem to win. The finger pointed at white people blaming them for racism is what took the Damilola Taylor so long to get the accused convicted. A victim who it seems was targeted because of his race (he was Nigerian the people convicted of his manslaughter were Afro Caribbean) and his desire to be a good student.
https://www.irishtimes.com/news/senseless-killing-of-boy-raises-many-questions-1.1119819 A person whom it took three attempts to get convictions first time because the judge threw out evidence whilst the accused played the race card. Likewise with Mark Duggen who caused the last set of riots who was lawfully killed (not that this stopped a lot of people jumping an the bandwagon accusing the police of racism and starting riots) A sweet and innocent chap to many in the community (and the Guardian again) but gangster in possession of a Gun.
https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-london-25321711 That investigation affected officers lives into 2015 and David Lammy (everyones favourite racial stirrer) was still trying to ruin officers lives in 2014

So i'm sorry but i refuse to accept that the media or indeed those communities treat the police in any way fair over these killings.
