RR said he wanted Luke Williams, but I"m not sure he was ever really a contender, and I suspect RR knew that. There performances have been sub standard since the arrival of Des. Downed tools is what I call it. Coincidence - No!
They wanted someone else, and they aren’t happy. That’s how it is I’m afraid. Sad yes, but also reality.
Or perhaps they should put a transfer request in or whatever they do these daysDon't you think senior players should be taking responsibility for the morale of the team if they are talking to you about why the manager should go?
Apparently, so I have heard, they wanted Pep.Is that it?!
Just because they would have wanted someone else in doesn’t mean they don’t like Des .
Which players that have downed tools? There performances have been sub standard since the arrival of Des. Downed tools is what I call it. Coincidence - No!

I’m very much not a vehement Des Outer, but I’m not sure I really agree with the first paragraph here. My interpretation of the game was of an opponent who was offering absolutely nothing, and us really toiling to create much against them. Did we create any real clear cut chances? Goodwin’s goal was superbly well-taken, but I wouldn’t say it was much more than a half chance; if anything, I’d say the best chance that we actually created with the ball was the Goodrham ball in that Leigh and Goodwin just failed to get on the end of.We weren't univentive and without clear direction. We pretty much played them off the park yesterday I don't think Cummings had a save to make. We scored two good goals and created several other chances, and didn't finish them.
We offered them two chances and they took both of them. We were missing our captain and our most influential player was taken off injured.
Of the team that stayed on the pitch at the end the players who have made the most appearances this season are Ciaron Brown and Tyler Goodrham. Than Long and Rodrigues. the majority of the team have only played a handful of games.
Only ever comes out after a disappointing result too, which seems very convenient. The level of shitposting in this thread is off the charts.
You could argue it’s everywhere on this forum, mind.

I thought we created more chances - or moves that should have resulted in chances- a couple of times I thought Murphy's passing and vision was astonishing at this level and better quality crosses, or Harris on the form he showed a couple of games ago would have resulted in goals. I'd love to see Murphy crossing to Goodwin.I’m very much not a vehement Des Outer, but I’m not sure I really agree with the first paragraph here. I think this is my thing of why last night was so frustrating, and kind of a microcosm of the season as a whole. Sure, Buckingham isn’t responsible and can’t account for individual errors. But even if that second goal of theirs hadn’t gone in, I’d still have left thinking, how have we not created more there? The lack of attacking spark (as I saw it) I think does have to be attributed to the manager.
For what it’s worth, I don’t think this is just a Des problem. I think the team has quietly been like this all season. Last night really reminded me of the Port Vale game back in September - really struggling at home against a very poor side to create much at all with the ball, and ultimately being punished (in wildly frustrating fashion). I think earlier in the season we were just getting the rub of the green a bit more, and our XG numbers from the Manning days apparently support this.

The difference between Steven Schumacher/Mousinho/Neill Collins and Des and the lad Millwall sacked today is 400 plus games and 10 to 15 years as a pro building up tatical knowledge, respect and connections.Last season we saw the best side I've seen at this level in Ipswich, currently third in the Championship, being managed by someone who had only worked as youth team manager previously, never taken on responsibility for the whole club. They still didn't win the league because Plymouth pipped them to it under Schumacher who was in his first management role. Pompey are odds on to win the league in Mous' first full season in his first job as a manager. Barnsley are chasing down the autos as well with a guy who's only managerial experience was with the Tampa Bay Rowdies. They all fit the "young , innovative coach with new ideas" mould that you mentioned, and I suspect they also received a hell of a lot more support than Des has.
This isn't to say he's doing a fantastic job either but the whole reason for taking against him is absolutely bizarre.

Professionals coaching professionals.
Remind me again, how many professional games did Wenger, Ferguson and Klopp play? The difference between Steven Schumacher/Mousinho/Neill Collins and Des and the lad Millwall sacked today is 400 plus games and 10 to 15 years as a pro building up tatical knowledge, respect and connections.

Also while you’re there could you remind me how John Terry, Wayne Rooney, Frank Lampard and Steven Gerrard are doing in their management careers?
Like it or not, Des is a very good, young and up coming coach who was part of the city group, an organisation who are known for hand picking some of the best up and coming coaches.
Err, Klopp played 325 times in the 2. Bundesliga for Mainz...Remind me again, how many professional games did Wenger, Ferguson and Klopp play?

Wow, this is something else, you've taken a hell of a leap to suggest that because those players are now not playing great (applies to half the squad in comparison to the first two months), and that maybe they would have liked to see someone else in charge, that we should sack Des.There performances have been sub standard since the arrival of Des. Wenger made 67 more pro appearances than Buckingham.Remind me again, how many professional games did Wenger, Ferguson and Klopp play?

Yep, because it’s that simple isn’t it. Not sure the players would want you if canvassed.Wenger made 67 more pro appearances than Buckingham.
Ferguson had a long playing career as did Klopp. Professionals.
Another seduced by the City Group. It'll all come crashing down one day. Give me a City group budget and disregard for the rules and I'll win them trophies.
